Hmm i don't seem to be good at this. Nothing seems to be working for me so far. The limitations of the cpu and powergrid is giving me headaches.
So can anyone recommend a good ship setup for a tristan ? preferably with stuff that can be found and that dont cost a bomb on the trade market.

set your self up with hyrbrid weapons. Since you get a damage bonus for them. if you want close range outfit neutron blasters. With antimatter ammo. You'll be getting 50-60 damage hits with 110ish crits. grab a civilian or small shield booster, an afterburner and 1 cap recharger.
In your low slots i find basic power diags are great. each one gives 5% cap recharge, 5% shield recharge 2.5% total cap capacity and 2.5% power grid. with 3 power diags and the cap recharge you might be able to run the small shield booster and weapons nonstop and still gain cap. I know you can deffintly do it with the civilian.
If you want long range go with 150mm rails. with your ammo of choice. preferablly like a -10% or 20% range for some added damage. change the 3 power diags for damage mods since you wont need to recharge all the time and you should be hitting for maybe 20-40ish per hit

As far as I knew, hundred of people knew of the chain-spawning tactic well before Zezman shamelessly named the knack after himself!

i'm running a Medium Nutron or Ion blaster (cant remember which) with antimatter charges and lvl 4 cruiser skill on my thorax and i get that much dmg

lol if its ions dont matter only use neutons. Ions are bugged anyway and dont work too well.
And on my punisher im running 3 small neutrons with no damage mods and am hittings 40 regularly and have cit in the 90s i can only imagine it would be higher with a tristan.
