I find myself travelling further and further to find free slots to do any sort of research these days. In addition the nature of research means that the few free slots available tend to be taken up for weeks on end.
Please fix this intolerable situation development team. How about doubling the amount of slots ?

I know you'll hate this, but I think it's one of the built in ways of forceing people into 0.0 space, and setting up their own stations.

Generally, just find a small, back-water system that has research in it. I could do everything but Material Research I believe in my previous home.

yea i remember back when people where selling labslots in good systems,
sometimes they went for some good isk, and all you had to do was rent a slot, i mean a .4 system you could sell lab slots for an easy 10 million isk, and if you got on in yulai/jita at the time 50-100 million isk.
thats was the old way of labslots

hmm.. the most i have had to wait prior to my actual research time is a couple of days.. maybe its a matter of finding a remote place with the the right facilities after all there are enough places out there. Chin up 
ps. on the subject of ME research.. is there a certain level of ME you can have for one bpo ?? (ie level XX) 31 is the highest i have come accross from a bpc i bought a while back.

yes this is an alt:
I have seen several 0.0 systems in the west and in the south where there are free slots in NPC stations (not conquerable)... so I sent an alt there in a shuttle and gave him science, lab operation and research skills and trained all to 4 and then brought my BPO's in a covert ops ship ... practically zero risk and really cheap slots (1000 isk to install and 8.33isk/hour) .. I have never had to queue for any research. |
