I'm trying to fit out my ship using two different types of turrets, they each have a different appearance. I put one turret in place and it appears just where I want it. I put the next one in place, and suddenly, stupidly, the first one shifts to a new hardpoint. Grrr. No matter what combination I try, the other turrets keep bumping the one turret out. It might be a purely aesthetic issue, but it's driving me crazy.

Shouldn't matter, since when in space you can re-arrange them to be in the order that suits you best... Actual fitting layout doesn't matter... You can have your armour repairers on the top row if u really want...

What, u mean when you look at your ship while docked - he wants to see one gun up top and something else below ??? Holy cow, I hope not...

*shrugs* Aesthetics are important to some people. I can see where he's coming from. I'm like that about some other things sometimes.
To the OP: I think you're out of luck, bud, I'm sorry to say. I doubt the weapon locations on the hull are tied to any particular slot. It's probably determined in some other way that you aren't really going to be able to affect.

Yeah - get your point, I on the other hand have a face like a bag of chips and clothes that look like they were boughto for smeone else, so i have a need to stay away from anything aesthetic

Though if its for screenshot purposes.....you can always Photoshop it the way you want.
