Edited by: Maestro Ulv on 01/04/2006 12:59:36 Simple request. Can we have an option to just turn it off when we want? With no popping up when you log in?
I know we can minimise it but thats not the point.
Please please?
And yes, I bought a power of 2.. I fell to the dark side too :(

I agree with this one, I recently started a 2nd account with the power of 2 offer ( damn you ccp )And I really hate the rookie help channel. Please give us the option to leave it permanently.

That would create more problems than it solves. Imagine all the new guys closing the channel by accident and can't figure out how to re-open it?
It's not that much of a hassle really, to close it every time you log on. It's just 30 days after all, not a long time in Eve.

If they close it then can easily learn how to open it again. It would be a learning experience for them, and hey when I started we didn't get help openning channels, we managed.

Yes, when I started we didn't have spaceships. We just ate a lot of beans, sat in a can, and let nature take us out into space.
And we didn't have none of these fancy guns either, we had to spit on our enemies, hoping the frozen spit would break their can of beans.

Rookie chat is fun! I love the "which way to the Battleship?" guys. "You think I can have one within a week?"

How hard is it to simply rclick on a chat tab and 'Blink off' then ignore a tiny little tab for 30 days in the unlikely event that you buy a new account? -- Lil Miner |

You know you can right click it and click 'close' don't you? Its really not that much effort to close the channel each time you log in. I agree with the guy that said that we shouldn't be able to leave it permanently, rookie help channel keeps the 'Help' channel clear of the basic questions that rookies ask.

No more Monty Python for you my lad! :p

Anyway, we didn't have beans. Used to have to suck the asteroids for a drop of moisture and then me dad used to throw is kids at rats in an effort to scare em.
Course it helped we didn't have to avoid annoying rookie windows on way out'a door.
