Anyone have any info on what happened in the north? I know G/IRON and allies were trying to take over F-E space. They installed POS used different corps to help and then this whole thing in EC-P8R and a friend told me that G/IRON are no longer in tribute/vale. Did having all the pvp pilots in FE space leave a backdoor for BoB/etc.. to slip in and strike? did G/IRON overextend themselves similar to WWII when Germany tried to attack Russia and things went downhill. Not much official news from either F-E or G/IRON.
Anyone have a scoop on what is going on?

RA are actually allied to G/IRON so there is no parrallel here with WWII, unless ur on about early on ofc :D

I mean more in terms of how G/IRON had so many pvpers in FE space that they spread themselves thin or left their home empty of pvpers and then allowing hostiles to march in. G/IRON. Sort of like trying to take on too much at once? Anyhow I wish EvE would publish this type of stuff in the magazine. stuff about alliance wars etc.. it sounds interesting but I dont see any record of what is happening or official statements.

Well lets leave rl parreles alone here for a second.
G/Iron, attacked F-E. Though at the same time deklien was left wide open for attack. But at the time the people attacking that area at the time are considered insignificant. There's no nice way to put that, the aggresseres in deklien, and pureblind, do not have that skill, tactical awareness, or fortitude to mount an invasion worth defending. The term "Can't gank it run" comes to mind talking about the invaders.
But then ATUK and BOB had a run at EC, as well as a portion of the north. Atuk will disband soon, as a result of RL issues with the current CEO. BOB, and I'm guessing, are on a road trip for a little bit. No doubt they could cause some damage if they stayed, but I don't think they are.
Ask the question in a week. I susspect things will be back to normal. And the only threat in the north will be last weeks invaders, who ammount to no significant risk or threat.

Thanks for the information. so all that pretty much has happened is G/IRON ignoring F-E in the meantime to fight the people in DEK. From what I was told was that G/IRON was real close to taking F-E and this sort of just happend at the last second(I dont know if that is accurate it is hearsay). I did read that whole thing about TRUST and BoB saying it is a cover alliance for G/IRON for production and it was quite interesting.

Real close to taking F-E? I think not. Even after ATUK's announcement, F-E managed to defend a POS that came out of reinforced in H-W, without the help of ATUK. If this BoB thing didn't happen this would likely be a long long POS war, which may even pick back up, as I have no idea what BoB's long term intentions are.
