A war dec is our standard SOP, all contracts unless specifically stated include a war declaration. As for Hugh, the banner designers like . . . using . . . him.

The way i figure it is G, IRON and Co need someone to hold back F-E and KOAS from taking full advantage of BOB and Co situation in EC-, just wondering what MC postition will be if F-E and KOAS are in EC- helping with the dismantling of the G's capital ships yards with BOB?

Ok fair enough, employing MC on u guys was the only option G had left, i bet this was a seruios dent on there walets, plus the there capital program dying b4 there eyes this will set them back months. Oh well at least they cant blame the DEVS and Guristas on this one

Judging by some limited killboard whoring I did on this, there were no spectacular fights in that contract as MC was mostly cleaning the obvious RA supply corridor around the Konora/N-RAEL chokepoint, and some more systems towards empire core. But the, I know nothing of the quality of small engagements that were there, so perhaps something nice and dynamic has been frapsed anyway.

I am not 100% sure of the others but I dont have much
from this contract, the few battles I got into that
were worthy of FRAPS I of course forgot to turn it on.
It was one where we lost 2 BS and a Recon to a big bunch
of RA that I would have liked to have on tape since it
was a pretty cool fight and there were things in there
that made me scream and curse!
Only time will tell if this contract will give me (or anyone else)
enough material for a movie. I am not betting any money
on my self since I know work is going to kill me more than
F-E this time around. Sucks!

I only got 2 fights frapsed that was worth keeping. First one was really good, but... i was forced to warp out 5 sec after decloaking my pilgrim.. I guess russians go after the expensive stuff that blow up fast. :p
The second fight i was taking pretty heavy fire, so i had my geddon aligned for a planet, ready to warp, which basically meant turning the camera away from the fight, not good fraps i'm afraid, even if the fight was ok.. :/
Don't think anyone else in TC got much fraps from the RA contract either :/

Yes we failed impressively by basically shutting down all empire access for RA for two weeks. Please explain how we failed?
RA went from freely roaming empire (see the first few days of the war) to being kept in and around konora and unable to move goods freely in and out of empire space. That was the brief we got from the client and they were happy, so whatever you may think, you are wrong

up to 80% losses to MC were carebears, that was good lesson for them
check RA killboards during contract
on a first days of contract v/chimps/lv/kos amasses up to 300 pilots including ~20 dreads. their attempt to kill our poses failed. so, hiring mc was just waste of isk

Of course. Its the same claim every alliance we fight has. Had we been contracted to strike you in 0.0 i can assure you that it would be a different story.
However, we were contracted to hit you in empire and shut it down. This we did effectively. Using game mechanics to get around it doesnt change that. Empire in and around konora was a no fly zone for Red Alliance for 2 weeks. Contract complete
edit: Oh and alliance numbers means nothing, though we do have a list of over 20 people that dodged the war, and are still unimpressed with your logging and stuck petitioning RA freighter pilot. Petitions will be filed should those war dodges rejoin their corps now that we have retracted

Guess BoB hired MC against KAOS/F-E to stop them from taking advantage of the current situation.
In a few weeks/months we see the north controlled by BoB. It's a big masterplan of Molle, Stan etc.
ATUK disbands, becomes DICE, (re-)joins BoB, they take the north.
They don't want to have the other [5]-allis in the boat, so they hire MC.
ASCN gets strongest entity in the south, so they win, too.
Evil.

Yup, kinda along those lines, my isk is on atuk. If it were g\iron, or trust alliance, why wouldnt they contract mc to come into ec-?
From what i heard, FE was bob's next target after iron\g. So definatly coincidental that atuk splits, forms new corp, and joins bob.
I think MC were hired to keep fe\kaos busy until bob is rdy.
Its very fishy that the contract was only for kaos\fe, and not kaos\fe\atuk.
Will be interesting to see what happens.

You clearly have no idea how mercenarys, and in our specific case, the MC, operates do you? We are usually hired to do a specific job, be it kill an alliances carebears in empire, lock down systems, or take the fight to them in 0.0.
As i said earlier, if we had been hired to strike RA in 0.0 it would be a different story. As it was, we were hired to strike you in empire, specifically in and around konora. That is what we did, and considering RA were non existant after the first few days spanking (and it was just that) i would say we were effective.
If you think we lack the organisational skills or man power to hurt a 0.0 alliance im afraid to say you are completely mistaken. Our capital fleet can rival that of the largest alliances in the game. The day a client comes to me and purchases that fleet for a specific task is the day you will see it. Until then, it stays firmly tucked up in our new home in y-c

There is one problem nevertheless. You had been ganking in Empire space carebears, mission runners and occasional alone prey. It is ok, it is good, but it is also good for the alliance under attack. And last week your results was absolutely not impressive.

They are effective in whatever roles they adopt, if they had been paid to be in 0,0 properly you would have seen them there i guess (not just n-rael etc). They cannot beat RA in numbers but as an extra, If say V et al were going for your POS they could hire the mC to get the job done quicker or something.
Lets turn the tables and ask what the MC would need to do to show that they are effective?

You are just doing an explicit disservice to your alliance, by spouting unasked-for rubbish from behind an alt. RA has some terrific fighters, which can do an excellent job in most situations; both in Russian core corps, and in newer, non-Russian corporations which came to alliance later (Gauss Belloid is a freaking legend in his own right, to name one just off the top of my head). None of them have the need to smack a worthy opponent, least of all via an alt. And finally, even though it is not really a prerequisite for having an opinion, but it would give you more credence if you appeared even once on MC killboard for the duration of this contract, or even at all. RA kilboard is down at the moment, but something tells me you don't feature there as well.
As to discipline, that's one thing RA gravely needs, IMHO. And it has nothing to do with being overly careful.

In the end this will be one more war in a long list of them.
It will help us to push people up into 0.0 space where they should be or clean out some dead wood.
Nothing new, just more fights.
It will cost Kaos and Fe some money, thats life. People get ganked when they don't watch local. In the end after a few weeks MC's contract will likely end and we will go back to fighting G and Iron if they are still around.

Actually, by the time we got MC on our necks, BoB was already there dude... not that it would matter. One thing they do not need is MC. :) *slurp*
G/I on the otherhand seem desperate enough for me to make this move.. They are losing POSes down in EC, they are at risk of losing POSes in tribute and they simply can't be everywhere at once. Hiring MC to keep us busy in D7 would be a decent tactical move from their part.

Yup, kinda along those lines, my isk is on atuk. If it were g\iron, or trust alliance, why wouldnt they contract mc to come into ec-?
From what i heard, FE was bob's next target after iron\g. So definatly coincidental that atuk splits, forms new corp, and joins bob.
I think MC were hired to keep fe\kaos busy until bob is rdy.
Its very fishy that the contract was only for kaos\fe, and not kaos\fe\atuk.
Will be interesting to see what happens.

I can't really comment on the nature of TRUST <-> G help, because I lack knowledge of important details there. I do know core TRUST corps from way back in XETIC; I know TRUST has contracted G for defense during deployment of said outpost; I do not know the nature of their military arrangements and if they even were mutual. I also do not know whether there were any prior F-E aggression towards TRUST, which could have caused the hostilities. So, why speculate? And foolishness here, like beauty and competence, is in the eye of the beholder.
In regard to selling stuff, taking the outpost for that is surely overkill if you were so badly hit by stuck personal T2 inventory, you could give me a call and I'd ferry it for you, as a matter of simple personal help. And now you will have to haul it yourself :p

They fight us because their contracter thinks we are worthy enough for them to dish out so much money. As for honor, plenty of it involved. I'm sure MC intend to honor their contract very well. As we will defend our home and the honor of our alliance against any invader.

And I crashed before I came out of warp. Why do you think I was sat at the station IN DOCK RANGE, in a frigate killing apoc set up for tanking, and didn't either dock or use a single module?
Congratulations, you just boasted about killing a pilotless ship.

If thats the case ...it was really BAD LUCK in there, my effects are always completly off, so I dont see whos shooting who. Tought that you had agression timer on ... It sux loosing a ship like that tbh

So what happens is everyone (those not related to the contract) want to go to 0.0 and try and get some potshots at MC. Making 0.0 a tough preposition. Even if it means the risk of them losing a ship just in trying to get an opportunity Kill at an MC pilot.
