Umm.. no. Pirates that camp gates GANK people, that's not PvP, and they're aware of the difference. And when people come back in 5x in numbers, it's called blobbing.
I'm sorry, but PvP = Players versus Player
even blobbing is PVP
Group vs Player tbh (GvP)

I am happy that we agree on that.
However, 3 BS vs 1 Indy is blobbing in my book even if they need to tank sentrys and it looks like we agree on that too.
Anyway, I find it much more fun to hunt skilled players looking for a fight (=pirates) than killing haulers and miners.

Pirates add a sense of excitement to the game. Without them or PVP for that matter thered be no need for this game to be online at all. However I do think some of the Pirates (and you know who you are) go out of your way just to kill something.
Ive seen folks complain about shuttles and Velators being ganked at gates. personally I dont have the patience to scan a gate from a SS and warp in when something crawls the 15km to the gate and collect a set of tech 1 blasters, or whatever the dumbass who didnt have instas or an mwd coming through.
But honestly low sec is low sec for a reason. Anything goes out there. So no more *****ing about being ganked in low sec since the name speaks for itself.
To each there own I suppose. But Calling people who hunt or attack pirates weenies is tedious and dumb. Come on, if you kill someone theyre more than likely gonna try and get you back if you destroyed something of value to em.

as to actually knowing whosa pirate, all you have todo is use common sense, not all negative stat ppl are pirates, just read their bios, employment histories, and check out what their doing before you kill`m. the local noob screaming is also a good indicator. it takes time to get to know a pirate from someone who happens to have a low sec standing, and mostly its just common sense. --- When It Absolutely Positively Has To Be Desotroyed. |

We anti-pirates are not pirates because we target only those who prey on innocents. Yes we take a security hit, but we work hard to then bring it back up. We don't target new pilots simply because they are passing by. We don't demand a ransom, we simply apply frontier justice. If you have a bounty on your head, you have obviously committed a crime against at least 1 person, and should be brought to justice. Concord cannot be everywhere, so it falls on the good citizens of the empires to stand together and combat terrorism and criminal behaviour.
Just to help you out let's lookup bounty hunter. The source will be www.dictionary.com
Bounty Hunter - One who pursues a criminal or fugitive for whom a reward is offered.
Now let's lookup pirate.
Pirate - One who preys on others; a plunderer.
Isn't it safe to assume that both work for selfish purposes of personal gain? A Bounty Hunter goes after someone who has a bounty. Why? To make money. Who has bounties? Usually pirates. How do they get bounties? Commiting crimes. Why do they commit crimes? To make money.
If it weren't for pirates you'd be out of luck. You'd be just another pirate.
Now even - attacking someone who has a bounty, but isn't below -5.0 security status will result in a negative status for the hunter as well - meaning the pirate you just collected on (who could even be an "anti-pirate" of another corp who got a pirate ticked at them) can place a bounty on you.
The only true "anti-pirate" is someone who wards pirates away from others and does't commit the first act of attack.
So then - you're just a pirate looking for an excuse. :)
See where i put the writing in bold, underline & italic.... well if there wern't no pirates, Anti-Pirates would be out of buisness... but it's job done, so Anti-Pirates wouldn't be another pirate they would just carry on earning an honest living... and be proud that pirates are out of the question....

SOOooo what would you all Pirates Say would be a proper force against you? There has to be a balance to things. There are Pirates/criminals and Ani-pirates/bounty hunters or anyone that uphold the law. As soon as someother player comes and ruins your camps,is a player who can gank you,or whatever that stops you from ganking lesser/newer players you wine.. wine.. wine. What do you do when your victims say that wasn't fair! You just ignore them or say its just agame don't get upset. Come on! Except the Challenge! You actually have competition! Say "You want a fight. Fine! Lets bring it on!" Instead I hear pirates wine about Warp core Stabalizers and what not. If it hinders you. You wine.
I Do how ever salute those Pirates that have some sence of Warriorship, how ever I profusely disagree on which side of the law you are on.
If you are a pirate that just ganks lower/lesser players and a challenge comes in any form and you just run and wine. Then you are no more then just a street punk that has no spine and no guts.
If you are a parate that meets a challenge head on and defends your Territory/horde or whatever. Then I can respect that.
thats my two cents

And empire gate campers are just too chicken to go to 0.0.

I just went back the pirating after a long long break. In my experiences the problem is that when anti pirates arrive they usually got 10 times the numbers. Such as a corp mate of mine who was in a af got camped by +7 ship, including several ravens.

Thats a blatant lie.

That can be arranged.

The biggest whiners of wcs is the 'uber leet' alliance players. Personally I couldt care less what people use. Some I kill, some get away. Thats the way of the universe.

Actually some prefer empire ganking over 0.0 ganking. Its a misconception that 0.0 is much more fun.
edit : it depend on how you look at it. If you like sitting in a safespot only engaging when you know you can win while listening to some idiot alliance member talking about ship setups on ts then yeah alliances is more fun.
