Hey there all,
I'm still pretty new to this game, and was looking trough the different things you could do in EVE online. Then I stumbled into PI or planetary interaction and it looked like something I wanted to do in EVE.
Now Ive started looking up the requirement the skills I needed ETC... , when I found something that might be a problem that I don't know a solution for. The problem is if u want to make profit with PI u should make a customs office it said in most guide's.
As I skilled Anchoring and bought all the good's for Customs office there was the problem that most planets were already owned by other office's.
Now here is my question where and how do you find planets that aren't owned by other people? And something that might not be relevant to this, but I still wanted to ask is how do you set up a star base?
I looked up something about wormhole's asswel but I don't understand it completely what it is and does.
So if any1 could help me out here or give me some information about this would be a big help ![Big smile](https://forums-archive.eveonline.com/Images/Emoticons/ccp_smile-big.png)

They all have POCOs on them. Either player owned or by Interbus. You have to blow one up before you can erect yours. |

You do not need to own a POCO to use the planet below it for PI. Anyone may access their own PI stuff in a customs office owned by another player corp; they just may have to pay taxes to the owner (and to Concord in the case of High-sec POCOs). No one else may access PI materials belonging to you, regardless of who owns the office.
In High-sec, Concord has a 10% tax on top of player-set tax rates, with a skill in the trade group that reduces the Concord part for non-Interbus COs. Everywhere else, only the player corp gets the money from a POCO, and it is much lower rate as a result of no Concord. |

planets close to trade hubs tend to be poor on resources and the POCOs owned by large entities. Look for some remote system where you can harvest and stockpile your resources and make a few trips selling them like once a week or something. |

Look at who owns the Customs office. If it is Interbus, it is an NPC Customs office you can explode, and setup your own. If it is another corp, you have to wardec them, destroy their POCO, and then put up your own. Realize, they can defend it. Also realize, if you put up your own POCO, someone may come along and attack it.

If you don't want to pay the extortion fee from a corp owned customs office you can just route your goods to your command center and launch from there. However,it can only hold 500 m3 worth of goods. If you do launch from there look in your journal under planetary launches tab and warp to your container. Here is a link that explains it. https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Moving_Planetary_Goods Also here is a short video to help http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-kQlRQ_0SQ |
