Angels can rarely be tricky, but generally, yes, Explo/Kinetic. Shield tankers do great against Angels because you have such huge natural resists to those two to start with.
BTW, is this Anehii from the Penny Arcade forums?

I would use kenitic given the caracal's kenitic damage bonus.
on my old character he did 1.5x the damage with scourges than he did with other missiles

The OP's chr is less than a month old, she is going to have a hell of a job in 0.0 NPCing in a caracal, especially as Angels do alot of EM damage - indeed they do EVERY damage type...

One angel does EM dmg, seraphims shoot em torps. Most angels just do explosive/kinetic. However look out for phalanxs/saints/cherubims as their dps comes mostly from thermal dmg.

ratting in a caracal in 0.0 is not gonna work...plain and simple m8 sry....i used to rat in 0.2 with one tho, i suggest you do that or run missions or mine some ark till you have the isk for a raven.
