After one of our miners was killed by a member of X-Factor Industries he was sent the following note:
Quote: Alumina > then he sent this note: Alumina > 2003.09.15 03:25:00 hey about me owning you.. nothing personal its just your corp is paying m0o to kill our battleships so we will in turn kill you guys :]
I would like the immediate attention of a represenative of your Alliance.
Thank you.

TTI doesn't deserve a FA representative. You will forever be on the KOS for breaking nap with us. Good day, and congratulations X-factor on a new TTI trophy corpse.

Not a very up to date XFI member, but i cant see he was wrong in killing a tti miner. Especially as it happened outside fountain wich means the FA as a whole, has nothing to do with it. Read the Rules Of Conduct and Terms Of Usage
"There is TONS of flaming, personal abuse and other bad behaviour on the In-game board and in In-game world. If everybody would just read the rules and follow them, the EVE world be a much nicer place to be in."

Immediate attention of a representative of FA:
"Go cry me a river."
Seems like Drakmarr was too clever to take over the PR position in TTI. Look who got it now.

I for one whould like to know how TTI can pay m0o to kill FA battelship since m0o don't really exist anymore. Except for a few old members who are still in the corp for mostly nostalgic reasons. ------------------ NoctoZ Black Reign Curse Alliance |

All this come to one question.
Does killing a evil man makes yourself a good one ?
My guess is that asking this same question at different points of history would not receive the same answer.

Edited by: Tehel Necrona on 15/09/2003 17:54:59 I did write about 5 paragraphs of propoganda, defending TTI and Attacking NVA and FA.
But then i realised there's countless threads on the subject. Why add to the voices?
So much of it is crap, i'll talk in game and no longer on the subject here.

I bet you're glad I can always spare a moment to unmask your lies and propaganda Tehel.
Before you edited it out. You accused me of creating the idea of the Council and decision-making structure of the VA to destroy and destabilise TTI interests.
Here is a segment from a chat with Ragnar on that very issue.
Channelname: Ragnar conversation Listener: Jade Constantine Session started: 2003.08.03 23:11:18
[ 2003.08.04 00:09:57 ] Jade Constantine > in the medium term jericho has ideas as to how to advance the venal situation politically [ 2003.08.04 00:10:43 ] Ragnar > I am sure our public image is in the best of hands. [ 2003.08.04 00:11:29 ] Jade Constantine > which may involve declarations of independence and proto-statehood ... to add "legality" to the territorial claim etc ... also philosophical direction is something lacking ... the free spirit of the wild frontier is a powerful icon to conjure by [ 2003.08.04 00:14:21 ] Ragnar > Wild Frontier is nice. We are very close to Jovian space, but we need to not mention that. [ 2003.08.04 00:16:10 ] Ragnar > Maybe give it more of a "Mormon" spin than a wild-west lawlessnes spin [ 2003.08.04 00:18:16 ] Jade Constantine > well i was thinking early earther republics of soldier-citizens [ 2003.08.04 00:18:33 ] Jade Constantine > and focusing on the corruption of imperial space [ 2003.08.04 00:19:11 ] Jade Constantine > from piratical ranks and brigand companies come the seeds of political freedom and idealistic vision [ 2003.08.04 00:19:41 ] Ragnar > sounds excellent. [ 2003.08.04 00:20:07 ] Jade Constantine > basically needs a) ... the VA to be very tight indeed [ 2003.08.04 00:20:31 ] Jade Constantine > b) the VA to see positive advantage in continued association and comradeship [ 2003.08.04 00:20:55 ] Jade Constantine > c) the owner captains agreeing to something like a bill of rights and statement of independence [ 2003.08.04 00:21:13 ] Jade Constantine > d) the presentation of such to representatives of the imperial powers [ 2003.08.04 00:22:01 ] Jade Constantine > I see broad possibilities for the creation of the first entirely player led regional authority [ 2003.08.04 00:22:58 ] Ragnar > Agreed. It will be a model for others to use. A bill of rights is a very innocuous document and we would only see complaints from the most mentally vacuous of the VA members. [ 2003.08.04 00:23:11 ] Jade Constantine > the addition of TTI resources and manpower to the PR smarts and vision of Jericho, in union with the VA powers ... presents a very serious opportunity to make lasting statement of change [ 2003.08.04 00:24:29 ] Jade Constantine > for mentally vacuous read "concentration challenged" and file under ... "provide firepower and mayhem to defuse" [ 2003.08.04 00:24:42 ] Ragnar > Yes things are unfolding nicely.
In which you can see that once upon a time TTI was not as hostile to the idea of a regional authority and bill of rights.
Only when you own interests were questioned did you reach for you guns and start shooting your allies in the back.

Edited by: Tehel Necrona on 15/09/2003 18:32:25 Jade i accused you of many things, and i still stand firm in belief that these are true, but unlike yourself i choose to be quiet about things i cannot proove.
And your right, i did post as such, however i'm man enough to admit that such a post was unwarranted.
As for that log, i'm clearly too stupid to have any clue as to what your trying to point out.
That TTI wanted too keep Venal to the VA only? If so thanks for pointing that out, Yea.. great thats highly relevant.

To point out something from the Real World (yeah yeah, I know, boo hiss this iss only a game blah blah blah, go take a deep squat in an asparagus field)... 75% of all murder victims have felony convictions on their own records. (Source: FBI Uniform Crime Study, 1986)
This is what several of my friends who are police call "misdemeanor murder" or "trash killing trash".
So. Killing an evil person doesn't necessarily make you good. All depends on who, why, and who you're asking.
If the "who" is enough of a bastard, you score brownie-points regardless. So, in some cases, Yes.
If the "why" is morally defensible, you score more brownie-points. So, in some other cases, Yes.
If the "who is asking" is someone who is himself a right bastard, who cares? Opinions are equal in value to the credibility of the opinion-maker. So on some cases, STFU pirate. Would anyone really care what a -10.0 "recreational podkiller" has to say about ANYTHING?

And where were this bill of rights when the council voted?
If no such thing were agreed upon then on what mandate did the council vote(in writing with timestamps plz.) ?

Necro is a carebear! lol.
Anyway, the initial post was in reference to XFI _still_ thinking we are paying m0o to hit Fountain. We aren't paying them or any other pirate corp, nor have we ever. Stavros has recently come out and stated that he made the whole thing up, and was LHAO that you all bought it.
Perhaps if XFI paid more attention to what was going on and less to arranging secure cargo containers they'd have more of a clue.
Re breaking a NAP with CME, personally I never knew we had one, but I guess Evo's initial unprovoked strike on Venal, followed by a couple of other equally unimpressive FA "fleets", would have de facto ended that.
Anyway, we're pretty much in kill-them-all mode now, so it doesn't matter - our patience and those of our allies is exhausted (our allies not having any patience in the first place) so you screw with us, we kill you, end of story.
And for the analytical among you, consider that what is required to achieve this goal is PvP skills and wealth. Now go re-read who's on our side. Hopefully the correlation won't be lost on you.
*edit* We have no beef with the majority of the corps who have signed up with the NVA, no doubt believing the hype that the NVA are in control of the region, and figuring they could get a piece of the pie for no outlay and maybe even score some preferrential replacement ship sales in the process. Well unless you are prepared to lose a few billion isk over the next few weeks in ship losses and production downtime then I'd advise you to carefully reconsider your position in this matter.
Or not, whatever, the outcome will be the same in the end. ____________________________________
