Has anyone attempted this?
Seems EvE has a growing problem with CareBear PvPers. CareBear PvPers being those GÇ£PvPGÇ¥ players that like CareBear mission runners will never leave highsec and only target easy kills in mission fits. All along claiming they are great PvPers and crying ever time a change is purposed to make grieving in highsec more dangerous. Because where will they be able to PvP? Low/Null sec? Yeah right they will never leave highsec. Latest such change would be the no insurance pay out for ships Concord POPs look at the various threads if you want to see CareBear PvPerGÇÖs tears.
They are easy to find, as they hang in systems with the most LV4 mission runners and their tactics are tired and old and can be spotted light years away.
Here is the Idea. Get several Mission running ships to run missions in same system. Have a tackler that will clock with each. In reserve in dead space have a few more PvP ships and some Logi and gang boosters.
The mission runners run the missions and wait until these worthless cowards come to set their trap. Does the normal thing and starts shooting wrecks. (Wait till the reach the wreck and start salvaging they love that). Also donGÇÖt use all turrets an maybe short range ammo give an illusion you canGÇÖt take out a wreck in a single volley.
Once they go red and taunt you take the bait and wait for their Gank ships to come. Might have to warp out of mission and come back. When the gank ships come it is time to tackle and call in reinforcements you will have your reserve as well as the other mission runner bait ships that will be able to respond. If youGÇÖre smart and donGÇÖt blob them, you might be able to create an illusion that they could win if they get a bigger ship and maybe a friend to aid if they take this bait you might get a 2 or 3 time POP out of them.
This can be followed up by suicide ganking Ninja-Salvagers and basically giving them the same grief the give others. While tears do little to fuel a starship I bet you can use it as some type of recreational lubricant?

Suicide ganking a ninja salvager will almost certainly result in a negative reward for the ganker. Ninja salvagers can't tractor wrecks so they won't use something like a Noctis. Chances are they'll use a frigate or destroyer, insured and fit with T1 mods.
As for calling in backup when mission thieves steal from your wrecks, your backup will have to be in the same corp unless you're only calling in logistics. And... if you steal from an NPC corp player aren't you only red to that one player, and not the entire NPC corp? That one I'm not 100% sure on. |

LOL the "reward" is the same as the CareBear PvPers "reward". Just the pure fun smashing their hopes and dreams while making the game more fun for us and less fun for them.
Besides alot of time Gank Ships, for baited PvP not suicide gank, are well fitted and would get more reward than 1/2 a hull full of velsper that the grievers claim they gank for profit. Course this has nothing to do with monetary gain. |

The Idea is you are fleeted. But yes I belive the corp can kill you as well. Please note I am not talking about salvagers per say, as the ones that bait newer mision runners into giving them kill rites and coming back with 1-3 PvP fit Battle Ships.
Those purly stealing salvage not trying to bait PvP will not be the target of such a set up. |

Also the idea is to wait untill the spring their PvP trap and ingage your fleet mate with these ships before you show your hand and they realize you traped their trap. |

Seems to me their be alot of PvP CareBears in here trying to derail this. Because I clearly said this was set not for the salvagers but the traps they set targeting BS's and even reposted it.
Also 5 hours? Please send me where you mission cause if you do it in Motsu you will have this happen near every run. Most just shoot the wrecks before they even show up as it is near guerrenteed they will, and almost always turn red and fly circles around you trying to bait you into a PvP trap so they can bring in their PvP fit BS's. So where are you running LV4 missions that it seems you belive it will take 5 hours for a single lowley ninja salavager to show his cowardly head?

Your idea fails because it hinges on carebears performing a set of actions that directly conflict with their inherent nature; the nature that makes them carebears in the first place. If these people were interested in (and capable of) taking the course of action you outlined, they wouldn't be carebears.
Also, I'd like to add that pvpers/griefers/baiters/"CareBear PvPers," or whatever other label you wish to apply to this player group, aren't really afraid of losing ships in battles with other players. Well, that might be a generalization; there are some that pursue pvp, but shun any and all risk (systematic and non-systematic) associated with it. We basically consider these people the soulless ginger stepchildren of the family, and treat them the same way we treat those who wish for EVE to have a pvp on/off flag.
By all means, I absolutely love your idea. I just don't think it will ever take off to a significant degree. |

Thanks good to know migh look into relocating. At the same time also know of the perfect place to pull it off. I of course would need aid from anti-piracy groups that are out there as I do realize your avrage mission runner won't particapate. (though if mad enough we might be able to get a few crying in local and what not to join a fleet and take the bait for us) |

Confirming that the OP lacks clue about mechanics. Furthermore, baiting or bruteforceganking PVE ships is usually done for the phat loot they drop, not for the mad pvp fights.
Now go back to lowsec and bait in belts.
/edit: Sorry, I just realized you must be a butthurt mission runner complaining about pvp coming to you. No lowsec then. Just to reiterate for the slower: Hisec is no PVP free zone. |

Qft
Smart ninjas will also check to see if you have a dozen corpmates in system and neutrals will only be able to rep you which wont help you kill the ninja at all, because they probably have logi too.
Your best bet is to not shoot ninjas, but feel free to keep doing it and losing ships. |

And by the way, who are all these Mission Bear gankers who claimed to be L33t PVPers? Certainly no one in TEARS. We're bad at this game OP so by all means, start shootin'. Recruiting is OPEN Please join our public channel The Ninja Dojo for more info |

Who routinely fits deadspace and officer mods on subcaps? Mission runners. Kill their ships, loot their expensive mods, sell them to other mission runners for others to gank. |

I must have been missioning wrong. In years of missions people have entered them maybe 2 or 3 times. I forgot to shoot at them as they stole the worthless loot I didn't want anyway. Maybe if I try this trap thing I will actually have a kill in the next year or two. |
