do you have Industry lerned. you have to have it traned so you can use to operate 1 factory. I am still kinda new but I am sure this is what you need. I make my own ammo and Industry is all I need to do so.

Going from memory: after right clicking upon a blueprint to say research Mineral Effeciency a window appears. Click upon the top button to select Installation. This opens another window: at the top are various filter controls and the lower main part of the pane lists stations with facilities; if a station is clicked on its research queues are displayed beneath.
One of the filters lets you specify how far away you want to see research facilities. Its probably set to station, try increasing it to solar system and them Region.
A regionwide display should display quite a few lines, if not check that you have "Public" set as one of the filter options, rather than limiting it to say corp owned facilities.
For detailed infor on the Research and Industry process take a look at the guide linked in this thread: Science and Industry Guide. - - - The Big Blue, ôExodus realised.ö |

Industry level 1 will let you manufacture one batch of items from a blueprint at a time. Raising the industry skill lets you produce faster. There are other useful skills: Production Effeciency to lower the minerals needed and Mass Production to enable you to produce more than one batch/use more than one assembly line. - - - The Big Blue, ôExodus realised.ö |

This came up a short time ago, and the problem was apparently related to the window not being expanded in the lower portion. The solution was to expand the lower window so that it would show the stations available. Try that and see if you get better results.

try searching for a facility first, under science and industry, or whatever that button is (from memory)....Here you can set the range of your search. Search for current station. You 1. will either find one, or 2. rezlize there is no applicable facility there.
If you are trying to research a bpo and the station has no facility, then no, it won't show up on your production window if the range is set to current station. If it is not set to current station and yo0u see something, your current skills will not allow you to research remotely, so pack your bpo up and go there...A good hint, you can sort the research slots by time until completion...Makes looking for a soon to be open one easier... ----------------------------------------------- An industrial based, roleplaying corporation www.krysalisindustries.com/signatures/maxell.jpg[/img]

The main problem I've had with research is that.. well, there isn't anywhere available to research at all in Lonetrek region at least. Every single material efficiency lab slot is reserved for days or weeks making it quite impossible for me to research my ammo blueprints that I bought (science 4, research 3, metallurgy soon).
Is this common in all regions or just a starter region problem? This was for public labs of course. Is it possible to rent a private lab? I looked at the Personal tab in science and industry but it came up blank.
