Hey, I'm not very familiar with faction ships, so I asking on the forums. I've heard that the Daredevil gets no MWD penalties, and it's extremely fast. Is it basically a faction interceptor? How much does it cost on escrow (approx) and what other ways can you obtain one? Thanks. ----------------- Help the cause Support in station movement! |

Intys get a sig reduction per skill lvl, the daredevil unless they changed it I believe does not. It basically gets a frigate reduction bonus to MWD as the Thorax does but you still need to max out the skill to get no penalty.
As for price? It varies depending on demand but out of all the hybrid faction frigates it's in the upper tier for price, best way to check is just check on escrow yourself. As for obtaining one, it a drop or you buy it.
Otherwise, like most of the faction frigates it's either a collector's item, make rookies jealous, or something to rat in 0.0 if you have solid skills.
We all dare to be different or most effective...the trick is being both.

You only need Frig 4 to make it a bonus instead of a penalty, its a 10% bonus like the Vigilant not a 5% like the Thorax.
That or I'm crazy.

Well I've got frig 4 anyway. Umm, how's it damage? Comparable to what? ----------------- Help the cause Support in station movement! |

Quite rubbish because it has 4 highs with 2+2 guns/launchers, and only bonus to the guns. It is definatly not extremly fast and has a fairly big sig radius for a frig. Its also a pain in the ass to fit properly.
BUT on the other hand it looks really sexy ___________________________ Brutors Rule! My Eve-vids; Click. |

You are better off with a regular interceptor. Only reason to fly them is if you can't fly ceptors.

Daredevils work nicely as an interceptor.
Lows 3 best nanofibres u can find.
Meds 2 warp disruptors best named. 1 best named MWD 1 18% cap recharger.
High whatever you can fit. Maybe some 75mm rails and a couple of launchers.
Cap doesnt last forever but it lasts prety well. With the dual warp disruptors its exellent for tackling.

intercpetors = low sig radius = harder to hit daredevil = fat sig radius = easy to hit
So no, no matter how much you want to, a Daredevil will never be acting like a ceptor.
A Rifter with 3 cap-relays should be able to run 2 20km aswell btw, and probably be faster than your Daredevil, aaaand cost 200k instead of 30-40mill with that recharger fitted. ___________________________ Brutors Rule! My Eve-vids; Click. |

I believe the Daredevil says in its info that it is an ANGELS faction ship. Dunno why people think its serpantis, I dont think ther is a serpantis one, but if ther was i'd want one.

The confusion stems from the position of the Guardian Angel's defending the Serpentis Space. Serpentis corporation hired the Angel Cartel for military protection and the Angel Cartel thus sent it's defensive militaryforce, the Guardian Angel division. This Guardian Angel division has been deployed in Gallente space for so long that they began to incorporate gallente-ideaology into their setups. Blasters with speed.
The daredevil in and of itself needs to be treated like a tristan, but with a bit of thought to the mechanics of the ship. I've found it to be a much more effective ship by shield tanking it in minmatar space versus trying to armor tank in gallente. With Angels being weak to kinetic/thermal and hybrids dealing kinetic/thermal damage, and with Angels dishing out primarily explosive/kinetic damage and the daredevil's shields being able to easily tank explosive/kinetic... it only make sense to use this ship in minmatar hunting. --------------

The bpc's drop from serp npc's and are rewards from serp agents, thats why people call it a serpentis ship. From angels you get the Dramiel, which looks very much alike but has projectile bonuses instead of mwd/hybrids like the Daredevil.
Malka there^ elaborates even more. ___________________________ Brutors Rule! My Eve-vids; Click. |

your sig in this ship is big, go with inertial stabs in low as this has the lowest mass of any ship in game, speed tank and aim for 5km/s+

On top of that, the corp of the person you flamed is "Doomheim". The character has been recycled.
But you know....its the effort you made that counts.

I thought you had cloak in there too :)
But yeah, Daredevil is actually a really feasible combat ship and should be prima^H^H^H^H^Hseen both as a valuable and dangerous target. ----- You are #27 in queue to see this signature. |

Ages ago, some terminals and applications didn't handle backspace properly. Instead of erasing previous character, you'd get one or more characters corresponding to the Backspace key. Usually, it was ^H.
I think you can work it out from here by yourself. ------ No ISK, no fun |
