Regarding clones, do I need to buy them often, to update acquired skill points, or let's say I have 100,000 SP, and I buy a 300,000 clone, is it good until my SP surpasses 300,000?

Edited by: Vir Hellnamin on 07/04/2006 06:30:34 Answer to your question: you have figured it out the right way. Clone is good until you either a) get podded (lose the clone) b) you go over the SP limit.
After those two, I always get another clone.

One thing that is worth mentioning (since it came up yesterday in game) is that if you are podded, you need to buy another clone. It's not an insurance premium. One payment = one clone.

I highly suggest going by millions sp per clone. They are dirt cheap to get started, and unless you do a lot of PVP its not going to be something you have to replace too often as long as you don't go over. _______________

What if you DON'T buy a new clone after you get podkilled? Do you revert to the newbie clone you start with (30000 SP max)?

If you dont buy a new clone after death, you get the default newbie clone which doesnt have enough SP's to cover a newbie. So if you die again you lose a percentage of your highest skill..
Dont do this, there is never any reason not to be able to affored a new clone... That or you shouldnt be playing EVE.

Answer: 1) You have 1 clone (with MORE SP's than you have) 2) You get killed 3) Clone gets activated 4) You have NO CLONE left 4.1)BETTER BUY ONE 4.2) If you bought one, and killed again, BUY another, etc. 4.2) If you DIDN'T buy one, you LOSE SP's! 5) Wash rinse repeat as necessary....
My question comes to what's a JUMP clone and a regular clone? ALSO, Can I BUY 2-3 CLONES at once?

You can only have 1 standard clone at a time.
Jump clones are TOTALY differeant beasts and there are a number of threads on them. Try the search function and the guide on them, then head back with specific questions. :)

And another technical question..
1. Do you have to dock in a station to have your clone reflect your latest skill points?
2. If yes to #1: Any station? Or stations with medical?
3. If latter of #2: Do you have to visit medical explicitly?

No, your clone does not char what you do until you die. At the time of death it does a simple check against your current skill points vrs your clones capacity. As long as your clone is equal to or greater you dont lose any skill points. Just remeber to set a new skill training. :)

You need to go to a station with a medical facility to upgrade the clone again. Its not automatic. Not that upgrading costs cash. ---- EVE-Central.com | Obsidian Technologies - 0.0 Manufacturing, Defense and Logistics. We're hiring! Mail me |
