Gang Assist Module - Shield Harmonizing
Provides a boost to gangs natural shield resists.
Question - Anyone know the percent increase to the resist of the shields from this module?

2%
100% bonus with Siege Warfare Specialist 10% bonus with Squadron Command
Bear in mind though, that it gives a 2% bonus to the current level of shield resists, not the overall level. eg. when affecting an already heavily shield tanked ship, you'd be lucky to get 0.25% bonus in the first few levels of the skill.

only really useful on a vulture with the mindlink tbh... and if you want to bring about a bil worth of ship and pod into a fleet battle where you'll be primary, you're a richer man than I

Edited by: Myagi on 08/04/2006 09:14:40 Yeah it stacks.
I have one on my Ferox, activating it (Squadron Cmd 3, Siege War Spec 2) gives a 5.2% bonus (IIRC). Though my shield resists do not increase by 5.2%, they increase anywhere between 0.5% and 4%; though this is on top of BattleCruiser 5, 2 Invulns, and a DC.
So yeah, it stacks. But obviously you are helping out ships accross the board, those with minimal tanks will thank you.

It stacks, and the bonus with Specialist IV, Squadron IV is 11.2%. Quite useful in a gang with mostly shield tanked ships. Same goes for the armor resi variant.

What's the bonus if you use it on a Vulture? I assume an additional 12% at Command Ships IV ? That would be worth having. ------

I gotta say that the added resists aren't worth using compared to the other siege warefare links.
10% more shiled resist, even assuming it doesn't encounter stacking is going to be about 3% more resist to a shield tanker.
10% better cap efficency or 10% faster boosting is a SHED load better.

With siege warfare specialization 5 and squadron command 5, you can get 15% increased shield resists. This reduces damage taken by 15% reducing the need to use a shield booster by that amount, making it better than reducing shield booster recharge time or shield booster cap use by 15%. |

It reduces damage by 17.65%, actually. It's 1/0.85. It's easilly better than reducing shield booster cap use but there's no reason you can't use both :D.
