I've been trying to play in widowed mode but when I go into options it won't let me choose a res smaller than my desktop res. My desktop res is 1024x768 and I'd like to play in 800x600 widowed. My video card(Radeon x850) does support 800x600 aswell as my monitor does, but EVE only seems to let me use current desktop res in game. I've tried switching my desktop res to 800x600 which then it lets me use it, but then when I switch my desktop res back to 1024x768 the 800x600 option isn't there anymore. Does anyone know how I can fix this? Thanks for any help.

EVE isn't designed to be played below 1024x768 screen resolution. There is no way to counter this.
Why don't you set your desktop to something larger than 1024 ? A Radeon X850 can handle much more than 1024.

Excellent, that's just what I was looking for too.
I was previously using windowed mode at 1280x960 with an FX5900 card.
I have just upgraded to a 7800GS and I was only offered 1024x768, 1152x??? and 1280x1024 as options.
Powerstrip here I come...

Downloaded PowerStrip... but I can't see any option to create a custom resolution...
Do you need the registered version or am I missing something obvious?

Well I created an extra custom resolution, 1280x960 @ 75hz.
Rebooted.
Started EVE... still no 1280x960 in windowed mode, however it is available in full screen...
Any ideas, anyone?

Switch to the resolution in fullscreen, when it has been applied, press Alt+Enter to switch back to windowed mode.
