I own one of this superbs keyboards, with integrated LCD screen and utility buttons, and I wanted to know if the Dev's are planning to introduce support for it in EVE. It would be great to have the targets listed in the screen, or navigational info, just for a couple of quick ideas.
What do ya think about it?

That would be so nice....got one of them keyboards now....but it isn't suported by a lot....so yeah, make it so :)

Hell ya, I think someone has a small bot here for the k-brd. shows the shield/armour hp or something.
I have the k-brd as well, a lovelly thing.

yes let us put shields, armor, hull, Capicator on the LCD and then minimize the big circle. maybe even find a way to tie in the LCD buttons to the throttle, full stop, full ahead.

Generly more customizable keyboard shortcuts would be highly desired.
I would love to be able to look at target with one keyboard button, reset camera with another etc.
That's so easy to implement yet so many games does not allow fully customizable kkeyboard shortcut, which is sad :(
Hope devs will look into the topic in future

I also have one of them and while the Devs have said in the past that the keyboard is legal to use in eve... don 't expect them to put in any commands that would make life too easy for macroers...
OTOH, being able to put the things mentioned like armor/shield/cap on the LCD (and maybe ISK too...) would be fantastic.

You do i hope understand that the term macro has differernt contexts and meanings because this state ment of yours seems to indicate that you do not understand between a key macro and a macrominer.
A key macro is simple a pre-arrange series or combination of keys linked to a single key button on a keyboard. for example a chat macro where hitting the chosen key sends the pre-saved chat message rather than having to retype the message over and over again.
A macrominer uses a 3rd party software to automate a repetative series of mouse movements, mouse button commands and keyboard inputs to replace a human operator for simple tasks.
For example a correctly programmed macro programme could simulate the mouse movements and command of locking an asteroid, activating the lasers, moving the ore to a jet can and rise repeating these actions, a second account using a similar programme to simulate a hauler being commanded to drag ore from a jet can to the hold then docking and unloading and rinse and repeating.
Mean while the actual RL person behind the computer goes to work, spends quality time watching pron and abusing himself and otherwise passes his time whilst his macro softwar brings in the cash.
**Disclaimer** I have never use a macro programn in Eve or any other decent game, and could not get the thing to work for swg  jking although I do know players that did (in SWG not Eve!!!!) which is where my information comes from.

I was just looking at one of these keyboards. I will undoubtly purchase one as the features speak directly to the EVE universe. I was very surprised that CCP has yet to provide support for the LCD. EVE is such a better programmed game than WoW or the other games that do support the G15. EVE's programmers could probably add this functionality in a day.
I have read at least 30 posts on these forums and others regarding this lack of support. When will it be added?

I didn't know about this keyboard until I read this topic and decided to search google.
It looks like a very nice keyboard to me, on the games that support it at least.
If support for it does get added I'll probably buy it.

I also would like support for this. There is no point having an extra 18 buttons unless you can use them. But my biggest concern is not being able to utelise the LCD screen It would be great to have armor readouts and such but the best thing to have would be Skill time remaining.
