Funny how there's no official press release for this. At any rate, a couple of days ago Breed Love and Bonsey entered Gyerzen and attacked Yolo, a member of the Gerzen Defence force, to no avail. Bonsey was podded and Breed Love fled. Now, this wouldn't normally be worth posting about. But, presumably in retaliation, Stormriders have declared war on Intergalactic Combined Technologies, Yolo's corp.
So... Let me get this straight.
You enter a system with an known, organized defence force. You try to gank someone in your expensive ships, and subsequently get podded/sent running. So now you wardec the corp of the person you tried to gank? Most of whom have nothing to do with this?
Here's a challenge for stormriders, explain to me and evryone your motives for this war without sounding utterly ridiculous, and I'll eat my hat.

We don't have to explain a damn thing to anyone. We don't fall under your command. We do as we please and go where we please. We don't give a crap about what people think of us. We don't care if we fall into your little niche of what an enemy is supposed to act like. We don't care if you don't like our tactics. We don't care about vindicating our actions. We don't care about anything other than our own goals. Period.
However, when we start caring, I'll be sure to send you a memo. Until then, have a good day.

Now here's what I don't get about this. SRS delivers a press release saying that they're going to start attacking Amarr pilots and coporatoins to damage the economy. A few days later, SRS declares war on an Amarr corporation.
That all seems to make sense. But you see, here comes the strange part:
A few hours after they do this, a third party asks SRS why they declared war on an Amarrian industrial corporation. He also claims he will eat his hat once they explain our declaration to him.
HOWEVER, he is not wearing a hat. HOW CAN HE EAT HIS HAT IF HE DOESN'T HAVE ONE?! Does this confuse anyone else?

I've been reluctant to point out the fact that if there was anyone responsible for the podkill, it was me. So why didn't AM get the wardec? Quantifying it with RP doesn't change the fact that you are mad because you lost your expensive ship pirating and you want revenge.

So, to be entirely clear, what is motivating this war? Need to have motivation clear before we can even attempt some sort of resolution. A concise full statement of greivences would help.

Thats not entirely accurate. Or accurate at all actually. ICT is in no way an Amarr industrial corporation. We have manufacturing centers in Amarr certainly, but we produce goods for sale throughout the empires.
We are simply an Industrial corporation. We are in no way affiliated with the Amarr empire. I think you have us confused with a variety of other corporations that do pledge to the Empire.

Simply put, if your corporation chooses to defend the so called 'innocent' pilots working FOR the Amarr Empire, you become our direct enemies. Regardless of race, if we find anyone working for the Empire, they will be deemed as a target. |

That amuses me, considering assorted other pilots came to Yolo's aid. He did nothing but defend himself.
Pirates choosing their proffessions as career paths are understandable. As are people with political or socio-economical motives for war. It happens. But what I cant stand is when people use one of these as a mask for another. If you want to come out and pirate, then fine, we'll deal with you as we deal with all the others. But dont insult everyone's intellegence by calling yourselves freedom fighters.

So we in Aegis Militia will be expecting a war declaration from Storm Riders very soon now? After all we're an Amarrian loyalist alliance too.
Of course I expect this wont be forthcoming so let me offer you a way out card. Attacking pod pilot organisations will not weaken the Empire. Pod pilots represent a incredibly small minority of the population of the Empire. Im fairly sure the improbability of people dying from putting on their socks in the morning is statistically higher than killing pod pilots and their starship crews.

Since this went silent, did you just pay them off? I hear these StormRiders have started pirating about the Tash-Murkon Region again.
We've also hear a rumor StormRiders' CEO is actually working in secret under contract to CEOs of several AMARIAN corps who want to to purify the region and oust all non-Amar corporations. I, for one, just don't believe that garbage about hurting the Amar economy, I think they're probably pirating around here and issuing war decs to multi-racial corps while being secretly under contract to the AMAR !
In either event, these multiple war decs issued by StormRiders are likely to be bad for business around here if the mainstream anti-pirate corps choose to ignore them.

Not to be a pacifist, but war for war's sake? All of the people you are deccing,if they have any brains, will just turn around and wipe you out. I find it easier by far to sit back and live free in deep space.
But I suppose some people just don't think about what the consequences will be should they attempt to do things like this.
