So Drones V gives you ability to command 5 drones. Then you can work on Drone Interfacing for extra damage, but the next skills which would give you 10 and then 15 drones (Advanced Drone Interfacing, and I forget the other) are not for sale anywhere by anyone.
I've seen posts and guides that talk about commanding 15 drones, how do you get the ability to command more than 5?

Carrier with max skills and stuff with advanced drone interfacing. If you want 25 you'll need a mother ship.
No non-capital ships can use more then 5 at the same time.

Only a few Drones Boats with inspace drone bonus(like the Vexor) have the capacity to control more than 5 inspace drones...
It have been changed to lessen the lag from drones.
You won't have new skills permitting to fly morethant 5 drones in space.
Some ships have a bonus, the capital ships can train Advanced Drone Interfacing to be able to fit drone control unit modules[+1 inpsace drone by module) once it'll be seeded... thing that won't happen soon as it makes the Moros a total Beast not really balanced... :D
So, don't hope to fly more than 5 drones unless you have a specific ship for it! :)
Edit>> Oh and the guardian Vexor is a REALLY limited ship as it's an event reward and there is no more than 3 or 4 ingame at my knowledge. :)
And most of it, i think the bonus on it were not modified with RMR but it's no longeer able to fly 10 drones. ;)

all the non-capital ships with drone bonuses were changed from +1 drones in space to +10% drone damage/HP. so really its not that bad, and works out to almost the same... (maybe slightly better for less skills I think)
back in the day if you had a dominix for example,with drone interfacing 4, and Battleship 3, you could have 12 drones.
now you have (x*1.80)*1.30) PLUS the extra drone skills like combat drone or heavy drone...

For fewer skills it isn't too good and was a bit of a blow to new people training up drone skills.
For example, lets say you have Amarr cruiser IV and drone interfacing III.
That would mean the firepower of your drones if you are flying an arbitrator would be 5 * 1.4 * 1.6 = effective power of 11.2 drones
Before the drone changes the numbers would have been 5 + 4 + 3 = 12 drones
The only reason why it isn't so bad is because light and medium drones got a big buff while heavy drones got a little bit buffed in terms of firepower and HP.
