I have a choice and I am not sure which route to take.
Elite Frigs for level 3s and then onto Sacrilige for level 4s.
Prophecy for level 3s and then gradually onto Apoc maybe going for a Damnation.
I can mix and match though use the Elite frig and move onto apoc not the sacri or even use a damnation (skills will take a while though).
Help! then I can focus my training.

A sacrilidge for lvl4's, hmmmm , altho it has got a sturdy tank , could be lacking in firepower. An Apoc with 2 x T2 lrg reps and 3 x mission specific 55% hardners can tank it just as good too , with the added bonus of a whole lot more firepower.
You can do alot of the missions with just 1 lrg rep turned on too , with the 1 lrg rep setup and 8 x megapulse and 2 x 90% webbers your megapulse can killll anything, frigs - bs size ships , dont even need to use drones

Its tough to decide which direction you want to go. I'll give you some ideas.
Don't expect to get into a damnation for at least another 4 to 5 months from now. Lets focus on the more immediate future.
Elite Frigates Battleship
Elite Frigs won't be able to do level 4 missions (for the most part). Battleships can.
Elite Frigates give you the easiest time to get in and out of low sec space, Battleships tend to be targets.
You can rat in either.
You (I believe) can fully insure a Battleship, you can't with an elite frigate.
You are best to train T2 weapons for a Elite Frigate, Battleship needs to train Battleship Size Weaponry (BS weapons slighty quicker to train initially).
BS is a bigger initial Investment of money (from 60 to 100 mil, + mods). Elite Frig will be from 15 mil + mods.
I'd train for a Prophecy, get Battlecruiser skill to level 2, then Train For Battleships and/or Elite Frigates. From there you should have a bearing on what you want to do (and think of the proph as a mini BS. If you like it, you'll probably like BS's. If not, Go Frigs.

Well, I defeated Zor in my Retribution even though it took me 1/2 hour. So you can use an AF for level4's, but you need to pick and choose your fights. The Sacrilege is a great tanker, but its pointless to use one for missions unless you have your gunnery and mechanic skills maxed. I agree with Jones, Get your Tech 1 Ship skills maxed out first before you get into the Elite Ships. BattleCruisers easily clear level 3's and Battelships do very well in level4 missions as long as you approach them one spawn at a time. I have the Elite Ship skills as well as the ships, but I prefer to use a BS because of the insurance.

Also Seing as how you will need Amarr cruiser lvl 5 for the damnation anyway (which is most of the way to being in a HAC) you could get the sacrilige and try it out. IMO even with the changes it is no Zealot, but it is still a pretty good ship. As said before, it really lacks punch.

Why are you so interested in Damnation as opposed to Absolution?

Of course if you get webbed in your retribution (this goes for lvl 3 missions too) - you're f*ked

Well i am drawn to both ships for different reasons. I really cant decide. OK Absolution will deal more damage due to its bonuses, but the damnation has a better tank better gamng bonuses and is in the region of 50 mill isk cheaper. Unfortunately there is more of a skill shortage for me with the damnation.
I am a few weeks of either yet so I am ploughing on with the skills and will make up my mind closer to completion
On a side note - What is the Reasoning behind giving the damnation better armour than the Absolution, when everyone knows that Carthum ships have the best armour in EVE. Also I would like to see all other Amarr tech 2 ships (within each class) follow the lead that is within command ships of having the same armour ammount with different resist values between carthum and khanid. Would make more sense and make the amarr black hulled ships more popular.
