Hi.
So once upon a time I was in N3, and I must say, their whole premise of being the "good guys" is false.
There's a reason why goons are so successfulGÇöa lot of the people in N3 are downright rude.
I once asked if I could pay for FC lessons on nulli secunda's forum.
No one took my offer, guess everyone was too busy being afk while their drones obeyed someone else's commands.
In many "nice" alliances they'll teach you to FC for free.
NC. are just toxic. They have such an elitist attitude (which is funny seeing as they get dunked by the likes of BL).
Guess those 1000 blob kills their members have didn't teach them much strategy.
Keep in mind this description doesn't encompass PL.
PL have shadoo, who is a genuine hero in EVE.
Anyone else have experiences to share on the topic of "Grrrrrr N3"? |

You just cant Grrrrrrr N3...that makes no sense at all.
You can Grrrrrr Goons, maybe even Grrrrrr highsec, but if you go around Grrrrrrrrring all willy-nilly like that, its gonna lose its meaning.

I doubt anyone not in N3 think N3 are great. On the other hand a lot of people not in CFC think CFC are shmucks. Therefore CFC must suck more than N3.

Completely agree with the OP.
I used to be very anti-CFC, as I had joined EVE right between the two recent ice interdictions. With all the Grrr Goons threads and seeing them troll in local, I painted them as the bad guys.
When I heard N3 and CFC were engaging in a war it drew my interest. I decided to do some research on N3; who were these brave heroes taking on the mighty CFC? Well... what I found in my research quite honestly disgusted me.
N3 is littered with some of the saddest and most pathetic personalities I've come across on the internet. I don't know if it's 1% of the members, 10% or 50%. Whatever percentage it is, those people are rude and impolite on even their best day. They are more elitist than the CFC or any other group. They are the posterboys for RL failures that use the internet to make themselves feel better.
I never thought I'd cheer for the CFC, but I was super stoked when I saw them tearing apart Titan after Titan a few weeks back :). |

N3 as a whole really don't seem to have much initiative. They don't seem to do many fun fleets or have many social squads.
As a whole they really don't seem that unifiedGÇö their overall strategic plans and objectives don't seem well prepared or focused.
Some parts of PL are an exception to this rule, who really do plan their actions cleverly.
Also, PL have Shadoo who is a hero.

That is really strange as I am in NC I love it here and have had a completely different experience from yourself.
You see that elitist attitude you talk about, I hate it with a passion. I hate people who have this perception that they are gods gift in Eve and Eve is all that matters, it a game for ffs lol.
I play Eve to enjoy myself and have a laugh, the reason why most people play games.
Sure there are a couple of douche bags in N3 as I am sure there are a few in CFC and in every other alliance, however the majority are good fun and realise that Eve is just a game and the point is to have fun.
Most fleets are good fun, sure there are those where **** get serious but again, you will find that everywhere.
Also NC is very sympathetic and understanding when it comes to RL events.
I have been inactive for the past few weeks and will be for the foreseeable future do real life events and they have no issues with this at all.
Maybe next time post with your main (or which ever character you claim was in N3) instead of hiding behind a forum alt and people might take you a bit more seriously :) |

There's a chance an alliance that has time to do stuff like that for you doesn't have enough stuff to do as an alliance.
There's a couple assholes in s2n, and some more in nc. that's true.
For fc training imo it's better to ask within your own corp, maybe they have / are willing to have a program for it. Better start small. Or just look for a corp that offers such a thing. Or join a corp that doesn't have many FCs where you'll hve a chance to try stuff.
Most fc knowledge is sort of common sense, knowing ships, fits and basic strategies and whatnot, no one will make a list for you as it just comes from experience. |

Why would you attack your coalition/ alliance on this forum? Surely you are a member of a corp, they are the guys you go to when you need to sort **** out. They would be the ones wanting you to get FC skills as participation is king in all major alliances.
And if you are trolling for an invite into another alliance/ coalition or corp... You should not have insulted Grrrr, its a Goon thing even the dumbest space pixel knows that.

actually CFC and N3 are just 0.0 sec coalitions. They cannot be "good" or "bad" or "evil" or whatever. They ALWAYS will say they are good and others are bad. But at the end they will do whatever politics needs them to do.
And CFC being "bad" doesn't mean other are "good".

You get the good guys the arseholes, the wannabe Mittanis The wannabe Molles, you get useless feckers and guys that teach you stuff although you thought you knew it all.
It's the great thing about EVE you can pick and choose what you will and wont put up with. You don't like it move on etc.
All alliances are different sides of the same coin, they have to be it's manufactured that way by CCP/limits in the game.
NC are a good enough alliance for me as I'm sure the Goons are a good enough alliance for their pilots.

please back this up because as i see it you sir are full of ****. i have been in CFC, TEST and N3 hell i even was in IRC and i can assure you that in my humble opinion they have the very best when it comes to FCs and strategic plans.
but some battles cant be won take the germans they had BY FAR the best tanks submarines and aircrafts still they lost due to the massive nrs of crappy tanks
