I wanted to share this video in the hopes I can get other players to help with his account bill for a month or two until he is back on his feet and in his pod. With a playerbase of around 450,000 there is always going to be a LOT of players who are in situations like this and others. Do we devote this kind of energy to all of them ? Where do you stop ? And does it have to be something fatal or only debilitating ? And beyond a few special cases like the sad death of Sean Smith, there just is not really anyway of proving anything is really going ill for someone. Medical records are confidential. Of course it's great what you want to do for this player, but there is just too much speciousness already with the anonymity of the Internet, and things like this are frankly just coming off with an air of dodginess. I for one have been miraculously walking around with HIV for over 30 years. I can't work, understandably, and rely on Social Security and all that to even exist, and there is no money for EVE in that at all, which is why I fund my 4 accounts with PLEX. Especially when it comes to a game like EVE, we can only do what we have the resources to do. Asking players for help when one will not be able to proof the situation is just not a good idea. Well, why don't you listen to yourself and just shut up? This thread stinks and I don't buy it. The OP fails to make enough ingame money to support the account of his friend. His friend also failed to make enough ingame money to keep his account funded. I certainly can't tell for the sick person, but the OP doesn't seem to have a job that allows him to pay for the account, else he wouldn't need to beg for ISK. The OP and the sick guy obviously also have no friends that could simply split a few bucks to keep the account active! Instead, the OP comes with his bullshit story I have no reason to believe and begs for ISK. I wish the sick guy, IF HE ACTUALLY IS SICK, to get better! Honestly!
