Just to keep you updated. The entries submitted for the Interstellar Correspondents positions advertised are being reviewed.
All those who submitted will be contacted and notified whether you got accepted to the correspondents team or not.
We'd like to thank everybody who sent us their stories. Some of them are quite cool.

The reviews should be done on Friday / Saturday.
After that we contact the the reporters / applicants. Expect the reports from our Interstellar Correspondents to start coming in next week.
There were 24 applicants.
Thanks all!

Let them all in and let the team train the monkey who typed the worst of the lot, it could be 'fun'...
The few applicants I'd say is due to the very limited background info released, i.e an extensive list of government and corporate officials, NPC corporation stances towards eachother, inhabited planets and so on...
Without it and the limitations when it comes to prime fiction I see this limiting me to write about that jinxed agent who till today have had 17402 friends die on him and between themselves help keep a vehicle plant in business.
That's why I didn't apply.

It would be great if CCP could engender some sort of "prime fiction background" program allowing players to fill in "unimportant" gaps in prime fiction--things like the geography and culture of the various races' home planets, etc., as long as those things didn't violate prime fiction.
In television writing, they're called "bibles," and they encompass things like character backgrounds and narrative backstory, anything that's ever happened in the series or has been alluded to, basically a long list of "known" facts.
Audition writers through a process similar to this one, then allow them to submit background fiction (as you did with some of the POTWs in beta) that someone at CCP could review for anything that would violate prime fiction rules.
It would make RP a lot easier ("So, where are you from?") and add even more texture to an already deep game.
Gradient is hiring. Read our Code of Conduct before applying.

You could also put clover in a room and not let him out until he has commited the entire eve background to paper.
Allthough, at that point in time, the sun would have most likely gone nova.
(Clover = uber.)
