On a more srious note I think it is stupid for the entities up north to sign NAPs with each other just to be able to pick on bigger targets. Not fun if your only enemy is 70+ jumps from you imo.

Alliances like BoB ASCN and even F-E alliance who have shown themselves to hold their own are now imo the major superpowers in this game atm. i am unsure about the southeast. but once the chaos settles down in that region we may see another one.
Its not that they are unbeatable its just atm no other alliances come close atm or at least have proven themselves yet.
Fighers (BOB) + Miners with Atitude of PVP (ASCN) and the finel buth no't the last ASS "Kissers" F-E a nice and big combination of ppl i there

well, F-E was able to successfully defend their space against combined forces of G/IRON/RAZOR/Friends, while even ASCN couldnt do that down south back a couple months ago.
Regardless of your personal dislikes, F-E has at least shown itself to be a force not to mess with, though they are moderately untested on the offensive.

Having fought in that war in the north. All I can say is this.
F-E are nothing. We beat the snot out of them on a regular basis. The real problem was thier backing by 5. If F-E had not had 5 as a shield / capitol fleet, they would have never taken Tenal / Venal.
