If a Minmatar blows up a Caldarian in low sec, and nobody sees him, does anybody care? ------------------------------------------------ I buy/sell any and all faction ships. Drop me a line in game if interested in doing business! |

Blow up an indie in the middle of Jita and CONCORD's just going through the motions; no one cares anymore.

I think the idea is that their ships were orignially hand mande one offs. Meaning they just slapped on the systems they needed, added in some armor in spots to protect vital peices, and put som solar panels/wings on them, and away they went. Where as the other races send their shps through R&D for several aspects.
Amarr ships look armored, Caldari ships are blocky and non-symetrical in most cases, while Galentte have sort of an organic look to them.
the Min are basically the poor white trailer trash of the galaxy. Bondo, duct tape and zip ties hold their ships together.
(My appologies to any trailer trash who are playing Eve on a PC with Bondo, Duct Tape, and Zip Tie's holding it together.)
demand is greater then supply = high price.
supply is greater then demand = low price.

I dig the post apocalyptic look.
Aside from the Gals.. we're the most picked on race. WHY!? Just because we smell of fedo and our ships are recycled quafe cans!?

It kind of gives me the feeling that I am the underdog and I like that when I play a game. Pluss you feel 10 times better when u gank a apoc in ur tempest and then lock their pod, warp jam them, hold them for as long as possible, and then say "whos the slave now b!tch" I've done it before |

Because our people are actually productive members of EVE society and not a bunch of dirty ravers.

Not many outside the Rupiblic know this, but Matari ships are actually grown - not build. They're in essense very powerful magnets with booster rockets strapped onto them, which over time, attract scrap metal.
All we do is give them one final coating of pixie dust and they're ready to 'Pwn' in the name of Freedom.

Oh come now, surely I don't have to list all of the benefits to the unique Matari design philosophy?
Our minimal use of lightweight yet strong structural spars and bracing allow us to keep a ship's total mass to an absolute minimum, allowing for more rapid acceleration and better handling. And, of course, the more frugal we are with our resources, the less expensive it is to build each ship, allowing us to produce more of them!
Also, I'm told that many pilots value the psychological impact that being blitzed by a screaming madman in a ship that looks like it's on the verge of falling apart has on the enemy. I'm told some of our more popular lines of combat ship look plain dangerous when used in an attack.
I myself am merely a humble manufacturer and merchant at heart, but I feel certain that if only the other empires were to adopt a design philosophy similar to our own, they would find their militaries to be far less expensive to run, allowing them to field larger and more efficient fleets.
Obviously, I do not intend that the Amarrians, filthy slavers that they are, should listen to my words. The Spirits know, the last thing we need is for them to have an even bigger navy...

The same people who believe that amarr ships are plated in gold and not Pyrite.

Comeback? I'll admit that we've got some Christmas spirit. Why in the world is a Minmitar trying to stick up for the drugged out glowstick kiddies?

Edited by: Wild Rho on 12/04/2006 18:18:26 Minmatar ships look like they do today because they lack the kind, stern (but fair) hand (whips) of the Amarrian Slave masters, who otherwise would have ensured the ship was completed before being launched into space.
