That said, I was docking just now at a outpost and I found something interesting. I zoomed into the postpost from a foward angel to see inside of it. There were hidden store signs and walking area's in the outpost, One was a dragon picture and one said Girls. It also looks like walking area's. This is NOT veiwable from being docked in the outpost at all. I think CCP is working on dare I say it human avatars to be able to walk around stations. Why else would we have signs and walking area's that noone can see? Here is a screenshot. I apologize for the quality but it had to be resized for it to be hosted. Linkage

It's not an internal feature, you're just seeing it from the wrong angle due to clipping. You can see those images (girls and dragon) in this screenshot of ASCN's outpost. -- Lil Miner

Its due to the way textures are applied (Using his hl2 mapping experience here ). If you are lazy, you may only apply a texture to an oject and stretch it to fit one face so it doesnt tile, wheras on the back it will show it too, usually just off scale with the far sides stretched around the sides of the shape. The extra internal detail adds depth to the model from the right angles and doesn't decrease FPS since backfaces and hidden faces are culled.
