Hello,
I recently became fond of using salvage drones and had a couple of suggestions to make the experience even better.
1. As soon as they are launched they automatically begin scanning for wrecks not having to be told unless the owner wants them directed to a specific wreck.
2. If the Focus Fire checkbox is not active each drone will seek out its own wreck instead of having all five drones trying to salvage one wreck. This would make them more efficient.

I've been asking for that one for a while. Doesn't seem to be much interest, though. |

Salvaging a different wreck each should be the default unless you tell them to gang up. T2 salvagers would be nice sometime too.You can salvage very quickly with an MTU and drones, just have the drones eat all the wrecks nearest to you without loot first so the MTU drags in the full wrecks... |

1) No. Nothing should be automatic. Launching Mining Drones doesn't set them on the nearest asteroid nor does deploying combat drones set them on the nearest aggressor.
2) I completely agree with this point though.
Also whoever asked for T2 Salvaging Drones needs a \o/ as I'd love to see these.

That would be me, and I'm really surprised they don't already exist. How hard would it be to make a T2 variant with faster mwd and 4% bonus to salvage instead! |

Sorry I'll clarify. It should be the default behaviour (in my opinion) of salvage drones as it makes more sense for them to take a wreck each unless you tell them to go eat the biggest wreck specifically. I would imagine everybody would want to salvage faster, and the drones targeting a wreck each accomplishes that nicely. |

I agree with #2. No point in launching 12 salvage drones with a MTU when they all go after the same wreck. Their slow rate makes them pretty much useless based on opportunity costs. |
