Uk Kat	Posted - 2006.04.12 18:36:00 - [1] ok flying through Jita , 4 x 3day old players attack my indy (all in caracles) i loose my ship and all the loot i was carring, concord destroy the caracles and the 5th player steams in and steals my loot. ok so now i have kill rights on 3 pilots. ok say it with me people "KILL RIGHTS" i have these kill rights for 1 month. i fly and get my eagle, fly back to jita and KILL the char that destroyed my ship. so why is it that i loose my ship when i kill this player?? GM's responce... Kill does not mean Kill..... in our terminology "kill" is synonimous with "ship destruction". I apologise if this causes confusion. confusion.... not only do i loose 200+ mill in loot to an alt exploit but im then told that i dont speak the same language as every 1 else. . so who else thought that KILL RIGHTS. meant KILL RIGHTS.??

You were not pointing anything out to anyone but the fact that you think its funny someone thought he could kill somone in high sec cos of KILL rights but did noy know it was ship destruction rights. Yes... because it makes much more sense to go look for information on Kill rights than actually believing that you can kill someone that is on your kill list. Oh wait... Seriously, all the kill rights system is a joke. If you pod someone they don't get kill rights on you, only if you destroy their ship. The system wasn't a very good idea IMO but its implemention got it worse... and I still don't know if the pod thing is a bug or a feature, if it is a feature the least they could do is rename the system or give an ingame visible description of what you can and can't do.

In addition, knowing how buggy the overview can be, there's no way in hell I'd rely on it alone. I'm not surprised at all that some peeps believe that claiming thier kill rights is similar to claiming a bounty. Even the name of the system, Kill Rights, implies podding. The best thing CCP can do in rename "Kill Rights" into "Ship Kill Rights" and create a new system for "Pod Kill Rights". ...and yes, we do sell and deliver ammo. 425 Express Delivery is available upon request, please see Hans Gates and Marcus Grisbius regarding this option.

Kill Rights = Killing a ship. Makes sense to me. Why is it that there are so many people that don't really understand this and can flagging still? Oh, and if you had expensive cargo in your hauler which I will assume was a tissue paper thin T1 hauler, then serves you right for flying it in that thing. If it was a T2 hauler, then meh. Piracy is piracy, no matter where you are it happens.
