The situation is like this:
Zain Enterprizes[ZAIN] is a small upstart pirate corp.
Hybonashi Industries[HYBO] is a capital ship producer.
Two days ago, our outfit was terrorizing the Obe and surrounding systems. We encounter Gunnslinger in his Assault ship and battle ensues. We have him locked down and at our mercy. We begin our ransom demands for a measly 10-15mil for the safe retreat of his ship. We realized this was just an alt for a bigger boss,(who turned out to be the CEO of Hybo) but we decided to have the ransom low since we are on our first system raid.
The bugger refused to pay any ransom and was quite rude about it to boot. And as such, we finsihed the job, destroying the Assault ship and locking down the pod, but decided to let him go, as we did not see any reason in trying to ransom the pod, seeing as it was a alt. It turned out the Assault ship was completely fleshed out with T2 and Named equipment, with quick calculations the loss was estimated around 150m-300m(no real value found for some modules). We salvaged most of the armaments and ammo, but the juicy modules went down with the ship.
You would think this would be the end of it, but as it is with some people, threats stream in and compensation was demanded, 200+ mil if I remember correctly. As the true pirates we were trying to be, the only answer was: YARRR 
And still the story goes on: The day after, war was decleared on us. And thus the main point comes into light. As I am writing this, I am floating in my raptor at an unknown spot in Ohkunen, watching the local swell with Hybo ships, and the situation has been going on for an hour or more:
1 Raptor Interceptor
Versus
1 Chimera Carrier.
2 T1 Battleships
1-3 Covert op ships.
1 Badger II with supplies.
Hybo is obviously trying to show off their power, but it is ultimately futile, since Zain consists of only 3 pilots. And we all fight with hit and run tactics.
So finally my question: Overkill? Obviously. But is it stupid as well?

Today situation, scout in recon ship and faction battleship sent it today to Ohk@#$ system to make sure the situation was semi safe and ok for upcoming operation. System secure, few freindly miners and one wanna be pirate in system (happens to be the one who attacked CEO and got the war declarion on his poo pooo butt). Cyno field set up, Carrier jumps in and secures the gate, small support fleet for the carrier is set up same time as the cyno field (since it's .4 and all no big threat expected) Freighter is given the go ahead on starting to move **very expensive stuff used to build other very expensive big stuff for production in this very very nice system of Ohk#$%** Freighter makes 3 trips each way moving expensive stuff. 9 freighter jumps in total, no threat wahts so ever assuming that the carrier and support fleet at the low sec gate had something to do with it.
Conclusion.
Ice Fuel for Carrier jumps = few mezly millions in isk
Camping the gate making sure Freighter gets in safely THREE times in and THREE timies out (with war target in system) = boring one might think, but made fun due corp mates and idiot yapping away in local.
Watching an idiot yapping away obnoxions things in local and making forum post thinking we brought the fire power to camp him and just him cause he is oh sooooo scary pirate YARR = PRICELESS

All that can be said is that 95% of what has been stated in the opening remarks of this thread is either an extreme exaggeration or completely untrue. That's about all of the response it deserves. Those who know me will understand that.

1 Badger with supples ...sorta right, badger was the cyno feild beacon ... no supples, warped away after 10minues were up...
did you miss all the other ship ??

I wonder why I even bother to try to elaborate when everything I say is twisted into a false statement or an insult.
I would say that those statistics would be quite accurate considering this was not a scout op, more like a sit at the station and leting the chatterbox work overtime with the locals.
(Capt Jack was fyrst in a BS then changed to the badger when the carrier needed to be guided in.)
And my so-called "fiend" was asked to bring this to your attention, to give you a chance at a decent reply, instead you jump into a ceramic cell and flame away.
One tries to tell a good story about a conflict with some artistic flare(Ceo ship cost was unknown, but the proccedings are fairly accurate, can supply readouts if needed)
But the author is shot down with personal assaults you would expect from angst pre-teens. 
No wonder few people bother to tell tales from a RP standpoint.

Considering you did not dock at the bottom station towards the end of the op, and claimed in local yourself that you're warping in and out to scout (ownd)

It is overkill but they have to be to protect thier interest. You see if they let you go without retribution, others would do the same thing (although the reasoning behind this theory is questionable). Now weather or not they should be wasting their time with you ? Probably not. Since they could simply kill you in low sec instead of declaring war. And this probably didnt interfere with their normal corporation ventures.
But hell thats just my .02 isks.

I am by no means complaining about the tactics or proccedings of Hybo, I just find it funny that they completely refuse to say a word while in the game, but explode in a hail of flames and personal insults on the forums.
Whether I am a elite pirate or not is not in question, although I do consider myself little more than a little fly, hovering around a tank.
Perhaps I was owned on the forums or ingame, as I am such a easy going guy. As such, this will be my last forum post about this absurd situation.
If you want to talk trash, do it in the game.

This thread started out interesting, but then i lost interest. .. Partly because of the "facts" changing in every post. MOSTLY because NONE OF YOU FREAKING PEOPLE HAVE YOUR CORPNAME VISIBLE! Combine that with somewhat unclear posts and you have total confusion as to who is corp A, corp B or just 3rd party observer commenting.
