Is it just me or is anyone else having a problem with this mission?
when I get to the Damaged Heron in the last deadspace (having killed the NPCs) I only ever find 20 Ship's Crew in the can. My Mission log says that the mission is completed but I cannot find more Crew to get the agent to complete the mission. This has happened all 3 times that I've tried it so far.
I can buy extra Ship's Crew or decline the mission & save the 20 Ship's Crew till next time but I don't think I should have to.
Anyway - any advice would be appreciated if I'm doing something wrong but in my opinion the mission is bugged (& yes I have petitioned)

They respawn after a while.

As mentioned above, they respawn after a period of time, but I'm not sure how long that is. Next time you run the mission, you will only need to pick up the crew once as you'll have 10 spare crew from this mission.
Alternatively, you could just farm the respawns for a week and collect hundreds of crew, so you only need to visit the ship once each time you get the mission in future.

If you petition, GM will give you the last 10 crew members within minutes.
They know there is a bug in this mission.

If you warp back to base, sort your loot, and pop out in an AB equipped frigate, they'll have respawned.
In other words they respawn in about 5-10 minutes, though I think it's only *when you leave* the last stage, and come back to it 5-10 minutes later.

I've petitioned the GMs twice now & havn't had the 10 extra Ship's Crew given to me.
Personally I think the mission is clearly bugged - shouldn't have to wait for more crew to spawn. Hopefully they will fix the mission in a patch or something

No, you don't have to leave. You can just sit next to the can for 5-10 minutes and then open it again and grab some more.
Is this a bug? It's supposed to be.
What can you do about it? Go get a cofee, read a book... role-play it! Maybe they heron only has one functional shuttle to ferry them to your ship that can only hold 20 at a time, and it takes 5 minutes for it to get back and pick up the rest. Maybe as someone suggested in a previous post on this same topic, half of them were in the loo when you showed up! Either way, it is a little waste of time, but not that big a deal.
Shoot the spawn that aggros you when you enter. When they are all dead, grab some crew. Then engage the other 2 spawns in there that don't aggro you. By the time you're finished with them, the crew should either be back, or close enough to.

I must be lucky, but i have never had to wait more than 30 secs for a respawn to get the second batch of crew members. Now it usually takes 10-15 minutes for the third or forth respawn.
The way i usually run this mission is kill the first spawn that aggroes you. Then head over to the heron while killing the next spawn. I typically have my first batch of crew before all the NPC's are dead. Having to wait doesn't usually cause an inconvience, as i can usually get 3 sets of crew in the time it takes to kill all the rats.

QFT .... That's the best way to do it if you don't wanna sit on your hands for 10 minutes. You could take the gate back to the warzone and attack the guristas if you wanted too, as well

What I have found is when i wapr to the final stage i kill the aggro group and then take the 20 crew members. Then I set about taking down the other group that is there for the bounties/ to kill some time, when they are dead i return to the can and the other 20 have spawned.
oh and dont go AFK there as the aggro group will slowly respawn and own you

I use a Raven with the following setup:
6x Cruise Launchers 2x 150MM Rails
1x T2 Shield Boost 2x T2 Kinetic Hardners 2x T2 Thermal Hardners 1x T2 Cap Charger
2x Balistic mods 3x T2 Power Diags
7x Vespa drones
With that setup and my skills... I can tank the rats in all lvl's without needing to warp out. Is this the best setup... hardly, but it works.
Ran thru about 3K in cruise missiles and 500 rounds of irdiuim ammo in the rails. Made over 20 Mil in bounties alone. Took about 2 hours total time killing everything.
You may want to have a friend in a indy follow behind to grab all the loot cans for you.

I wish I could say I use the same setup but I don't have t2 cruise launchers and that means killing a BS will take a very long time and might even be impossible (thinking of Vengence's boss).
But I split 3 cruise 3 torp and it seems to give me the added power I need to finish off any battleship in a decent amount of time. Plus, not going all torp, I maintain effectiveness against cruisers.
Someday I'll finish that 24ish day skill and 6 cruise launcher IIs will go up on my Raven. Oh, I can hardly wait

I use a Cerberus for my lvl 4 missions!
Set-up for worlds collide;
5x Heavy Missile Launcher II 1x Gist X-Type Large Shield Booster 1x Gist X-Type Ballistic Deflection Field 1x Gist X-Type Heat Dissipation Field 1x Large Shield Extender II 1x Cap Recharger II 1x Vepas Modified Ballistic Control System 3x Power Diagnostic Systen II
It's about the best there is  Can easily tank all the gates and groups

The reason for this mission only giving 20 agents instead of 30 is because..... as you might of noticed... when you warp into worlds collide there are 2 gates. Normal way to run the mission would be to pick 1 of the 2 gates, run though it completely, pick up the 20 agents... then use the jumpgate back to beginning, run 2nd jumpgate area, and get next 20 agents as they would have respawned by the time you ran the 2nd area. :)

I would also advice about letting the mission linger for longer than a day. I had the same 20 crewmen issue, but had no time to wait for a respawn, so i docked and didn't return till 2 days later or so.
So, i undock, warp to the bookmark, but surprise, there isn't any gate there, and scanner doesn't pick a thing. Eventually got the mission restarted through a petition, and could do it again.
Even so, the damaged heron still only holds 20 crewmen again. If it respawns shortly afterwards, i am not sure. I did wait quite a while and never had them respawn. Anyways, completed mission just ok in the end. Oh, and is it 30 crewmen needed or 40? all the times i got this mission, i get asked for 40, it's confusing. ________________________________________

You dont have to leave they respawn after about 10min, I generally kill the group that aggros then loot the heron.
Then kill the other group(s) I think 2 bs's are in there own group because they dont allways aggro.
Then loot the heron again if it hasnt respawned yet then it only takes a few more mins.
