Edited by: Ukonius on 13/04/2006 16:10:14 I wish to get a second account for my own purposes. Is there anyway to install eve a second time on my puter? I have tried but it wont let me. I have a slave drive but can't get it to install on there either. Thanks

Just copy the entire EVE folder.

Its easy. Only copy the original map to another map and voila.
Its possible to run multiple accoutns. I run 3 at the same time without problems

Why install it 3 times? I just log in once then turn EVE on again and run my other account. Only one folder is needed.

I run two accounts from the same install, just start it twice and run as windows, Makes swapping between the 2 easier.

I've heard of problems when running off the same install folder. I would imagine due to file locking. ______________________

Only real problems with running from the same folder is sounds, so as long as you make sure one of the clients has sounds turned off, you should be fine.

Been running off 1 directory for years with no problems and on two different computers and sometimes 3 accounts at once.

I can run 3 from the same directory with no noticible problems. I do have to disable sound on all but one session, but, meh I'm listening to music and teamspeak anywho.
