the world of eve is starting o feel somewhat crowded. i remember when i joined you barely get 5000 online at the time, now the numbers of pilots in space is 5 times more than ever before.
when is jove space going to open and the other systems that are visible from ingame, but we yet can t access.

Ah, it doesn't need to get bigger, it needs to get more crowded! There's still systems with less then one people there on average per hour!
We need to fill every system to the brim! Go forth and multiply! Be fruitful! :D
Seriously, Jove space sounds like the nextest biggest thing to happen to EVE. Think about the rush to colonize it.

I third this motion.. I'd like to see players putting stations and outposts in systems that are 10 hops from the nearest system to have had another player in it this month.

why not have a huge travel time between spaces. why not have other empires else real far away.
bit like europe and america, in 1500AD
now maybe you like every system to be crowded, but thats not every ones opinion, i belive in expansion of gameworlds, it will be different if eve would be one of the few MMO's to ever expand its playing space.
well i dont want that any time soon, iam jsut talking in future terms, 1-2 years from now, an expansion called, the new frontiers or something.
200 jumps from the main empire systems into complete new empire, who kn,ws maybe a different race that got there somehow and built something. or even linking up with the empire of earth.

LMAO
sorry, couldn't help it.
If instas were removed you could get something of the same effect.
If ccp expanded eve to have 200 jumps to get to the next area, so many players would immediately start whining "i wanna do there NOW"...

But yeah, i liked the big feel of the old eve... sorta miss it.

no are you stupid? i didnt mean change instas or system size or arp speed or anything like that, i jsut meant mroe systems, exactly the same as eve now , nothing changed, jsut a route to another world, more like a 2nd or 3rd smaller eve worlds bit like jovian space, but obviousl that space is totally closed off. im happy with the way eve is atm,
and wether i want it or not, eve will expand iam sure of that, assuming ccp does the right thing

I think major problem is the difficulty of gtting to 0.0 and danger, much higher than 0.0, in .1-.4 systems. I am failry new to the game, and I have some friends in 0.0, 50% of the time when I try to get through to them I get ganked, not a problem since I dont have implants.
I usually get killed and ganked in .1-.4 and not in 0.0. Its strange that no security is more secure than low security. I wish that CCP would increase the number of entrances to 0.0 make the sniping ganks obsolete. The instapoping tempests and apocs are annoying as hell.
EVE doesnt need to get bigger, we need some way, and I dont know how, to make people go to 0.0 and make their lives there. Its just damn empty down there.

Seconded. More entrances to 0.0 since the biggest majority of the current ones are camped and almost impossible to pass without either a good set of instas or some real hardcore skills which most people in Empire don't have.
Getting people to migrate to 0.0 is easy when there's few camps between them and the destination but the routes need an overhaul to thin out the gate camps a bit more and get the alliances to camp gates to their region only rather than the main entrance to all of 0.0 in their region and beyond. These camped bottlenecks are the main cause of the lack of migration.
Eve doesn't need to be bigger, it just needs more gates to encourage people to move out of Empire. Even several Long distance secure gates that can't be camped and require payment to get to the fringe areas of 0.0 that currently sit empty.

0.0 will remain empty as long as alliances think they can claim entire regions.

having more entrence's won't work... most of the alliance's that kill everyone in there systems that aren't them have hundreds of members so they can camp many gates.
I like the idea that some people can't get into 0.0 space. There are people that would start the game, play for a month then think they shuld be able to make billions down in 0.0 then complain that they can't. Then you'd hear the whining about how the rats are over-powered and stuff like that.
There really isn't a way to make it more accessable to everyone. Its a hard place to live, you shouldn't be down there in a noob corp, or by yourself.
Just think of when Kali comes in and Factional warfare comes into place. It'll be just like 0.0 in a way, if you don't have good standings with the faction whose space you are about to enter they kill you. Makes sense.

I disagree. If you triple the amount of entrances to 0.0 and inbetween 0.0 regions, a lot more players would move there. They could get there easy enough, its living there that is difficult. The large ORGANIZED alliances would still dominate, because they could fly around their space trying to stop the intrudes, but they cant sit at a gate and gank anyone who even considers trying to get in.

The place isnt too crowded at all, maybe if you band of brothers people would stop breeding then there would be less of you to take up space :P
I guess a few extra 0.0 systems on the outside of the map wouldnt hurt, but a second empire isnt really a great idea.

Alliances are too lazy to camp multiple gates, its why they allways fight more gates around 0.0 space. they dont want to have to work for it they want to throw 20 ships at one or two gates per region and call it secure. triple the amount of inter-region gates and double the amount of gates in 0.0 in general and you make camping much harder because corps and alliances will have trouble finding people willing to sit at every gate(no one wants to sit at a stargate for the chance one ship might fly through).

Roxanna - i wan't rolling eyes at you - it was directed at the whiners who want everything "now", who complain about long travel times etc etc.
I agree with you - eve is meant to be big. Its suppoed to take time to get from place to place.
Thats my issue with instas. To get the feeling of distance, we now need much more systems, and them to be spread out (like you said, 200 jumps to the other empire)...
with instas, that will take a few hours to get out there. Without instas it would take a few hours to go 50 jumps. and we wouldn't need to add more systems and take up more space on the server.

If you trippled the number of systems and trippled the enterances to 0.0.. and made all those new systems spinward (farther from the center and from empire) instead of just more systems 5 jumps out, more people would get out to 0.0 because it would be possible to find a system where there was not constant traffic (mostly, ganking wolfpack traffic). The more sparsely populated the systems and more space between systems owned by different corps, the more of a hassle it will be to pirate, the less likely a given corp's system will be to have fly-by shooters, and the more fiscally viable it will be to move into 0.0 space.

Clonejumping shrunk EVE even more, remove the highways completely and insert more worthwhile things in all the existing systems.
There's no need for more systems due to player load, just more things to do in many of the barren systems.
Remind me about The Maze.

Couldn't agree more
On the one hand, i like there being more people in a smaller area as it means more customers for me as a manufacturer. However, I would like to see more stuff in each system. More complexes or places of interest. There are an awful lot of systems with only a handful of residents because there is nothing there to see / no reason to be there

Generally I agree with the notion of more systems. I'd like there to be an empty frontier beyond 0.0 where the miners, archeologists etc. would be, trying to tap rich veins and such. The danger would be great if mining was overhauled to include more exploring and planning to avoid natural dangers etc. Obviously the alliances would expand, but if it was big enough then it would have to be a slow expansion, so we could stay 1 jump ahead of alliance wars etc.
Essentially a region where small corps and not alliances are the norm, and there battles are over things like mining rights to a region, but are confounded by natural dangers (binary systems where you can only mine for a time before gravimetric shear tears ships apart etc.).
Possibly...possibly introduce some hints at an alien civilization well beyond this region, in the form of archeological finds.

Quoted for truth. That's exactly what I was thinking..
Actually, the crowd only needs to be distributed a bit more evenly. Sure, if you like to stay around Ours or Jita, it feels crowded.. But for a change, take look at the map. There's lots of [b]empty[b] space (well, empty but still claimed).

The empty space is too easily accessible. That probably sounds counter-intuitive. Let me explain:
Looking at the map, there aren't a lot of free systems that are 20 jumps from the nearest POS or empire. It is easy and convenient for roving bands of miscreants to drop in and mess up your mining op or blob a POS and leave and be back home in 5 minutes. Eve will never have instancing, but instancing solved a lot of problems in other games.
If you wanted to get younger corps, smaller corps, or more corps in general into 0.0, make the map layout create 'pseudo-instances' out on the rim. In other words, systems that are 15-20 jumps out with only 1 or 2 ways in. For a corp serious about trying out 0.0 space, hanging out at their POS for several days at a time isn't a big deal, whereas miscreants looking to gank someone for giggles will have to burn up half of an hour or more each way in the hopes that when they get to the system they will find an enemy they can easily beat.

It's not that it's difficult for a single player to go out into 0.0 thats the problem. What most people need to realise is that to get into 0.0 isnt that hard, there are two things you have to do. Join a corp. Have said corp sponsored by the governing alliance in the area. Then you get to fly around with positive ratings to the people most likely to see you, and do your own thing. Many alliances dont mind sponsoring someone even if they dont officially join the alliance in fleet ops.
