Fellow hardcore miners, it is time to unite! We have been called "Care Bears", we have been called cowards, we have been podded, we have had to deal with ore thieves, we have had to pay exorbitantly high prices for items even though we provided the minerals to build them, we have gone to low level systems to mine the minerals so that others can build only to be fired upon by the same people, Now is our time! There are Battleship(will refer to as BS even tough Battleships have also been known as BB's) Blueprints out there that require vast amounts of minerals to manufacture, and the people that own them are living the good life because they know there is always some miner looking to make the fast buck. They buy minerals way too low and sell BS's at top dollar. The manufacturers fix there prices! We should start fixing our own! Do not sell your minerals at low prices just because you need the money, put them on sell orders at top dollar or sell them on the trade channel for top dollar! I know, what about me? Well, if we all stick together the value of all minerals will rise and everyone will be able to ride the wave! Including new players! I also know the next comment, everything will be more expensive! Let me ask you this, if you are a hardcore miner (AKA a big supplier) that means you put a lot of tedious hours into mining, something the non-miners don't want to do! There is your asset! What is it that you need to buy? Let me guess a BS so you can mine in it. Do you really need that right now? The thing that is important to us is skill training and saving. Yes you will want to work up to better ships, the answer to that is a good corp. Teamwork damn it! Yes, Yes, I know, everything will get more expensive. Like I said TIME is a miners Asset! Finally you will get top dollar for it! I now open the floor to have a new **** hole ripped open. Thank-you for reading. |

Well the idea is good. Both for miners and shipbuilder. Too many want the cash instantly. Unfortunatly it will never be possible to get the majorty of players involved in it I have sold my minerals at to price from day one and I always sell them. May take a day or two, but they always sell. Same with the ships I build, never go under the npc mineral price to make them + some profit.

I've built this char up as a miner, and I'm now the productions director for my corp. We used to mine ore, buy mins (at NPC prices) and sell ships at just above NPC prices, but now it's actually cheaper for us to buy the ships in from other corps, even though the person that builds all our ships has production eff lvl 5!!!. I agree the miners are losing vast amounts of isk thanks to the ship manufacturers chucking ships out at mineral cost (and not NPC mineral cost either). At the moment mega is getting harder to find and in some areas it's changing hands for 10k / unit, this is a good sign that the mineral market is starting to move back towards the miners. I for one am with you there Seth, lets get all the miners together and fix the selling price for all mins to be at least NPC prices, and no lower.

Edited by: Veruna Caseti on 17/09/2003 11:18:27 Edited by: Veruna Caseti on 17/09/2003 11:18:03 Unfortunately it's the manufacturers who set mineral prices and not the miners.
They are the ones who put in the multimillion unit buy orders for minerals at low prices, and newbie miners are left with the decision of instant isk or waiting days for a possibly better price.
They always choose the former - the instant isk. Mainly this is due to the fact that players don't recognize that isk is not the total of your worth. They want to see their wallet get fat without stopping to think they don't actually have anything to SPEND it on. Saving the minerals and waiting for a huge buy order at a higher price would often net great profits if players would exercise more patience and business sense.
But, since when do most online gamers have any sense at all, let alone business sense? =)

I don't sell under NPC price. Did that when prices went dropping. And still waiting when they rize again, but prices seems to rize a little bit.
