I would like to point out the appaling immaturity and discusting nature of pirates these days.
tonight we were blobbed by 30+ guys from an obscure alliance, so we all insta docked. (becuase whats the point, 30 v 5)
anyway, 5 pirates remained, and decided to smack us in local. (these 5 claimed not to be part of the gank fleet, but i actually saw them flying together)
so they start smacking us for not undocking. and in this smack, i was confronted and talked to in the following ways.
I was told that my mother was good in bed (in fouler language)
i was told i liked to have intercourse with my mother (in fouler language
i was told that intercourse with my own girlfriend was enjoyable.(again, in fouler language)
i was told that i am a ***** ect.
And sadly, this comes from us pirates. (i know i thought better of Shinra thats for sure)
it seems the pre-pubescent player base of world of warcraft has finally surfaced.

For being in The Pirate Coalition, you sure do whine about pirates a lot...
And as far as those 4 statements, you should consider 2 of them compliments tbh.

I have a lot of respect for pirates that do it the pirate way. But those that hide behind 'pirating' as an excuse for cheap ganks or easy PvP aren't worth of the name. Granted there are times when every pirate takes a cheap gank, but most of them prefer a challenge, at least i'd like to think. I think duffman is getting at the same thing.

Comments like that are more than just inappropriate and I do believe somethin should be done about it. But then again that kinda talk is the norm of so many other online games so I don't know if it's controllable.

The question of blob ganking aside it seems to me the issue isn't about pirates, may they all burn in hell, but about the accepability of smacktalk or at least its limits. To me it has gone to far. Some ccp or Corp discipline would seem appropriate for this case.

I can tell you that some miners are no better than the pirates described by you.
My alliance is currently in the process of overtaking a region formerly owned by a long-time hostile entity.
We took the refinery a few days ago. Yesterday, there was a member of a mining corp (not meant as an insult, he said that himself) logging in at the station, asking for free passage out. He shall remain nameless.
Naturally, as he happily mined into the pockets of our afore mentioned hostile alliance by paying refine tax, we refused and didn't listen to his claim of "just being an innocent miner". Note that we didn't even camp him in there, he could have just undocked.
He started getting real upset and shouted "S**G H**L" in local over and over as well as some real life threats. This particular phrase used to greet and adore ****** 70 years ago (quote my post to see it uncensored) of course is unarguably something you just shouldn't say to anyone.
I guess Eve or multiplayer games in general are just too exciting for some type of characters.
Some of us petitioned him and i think he received a local gag as he got very quiet all of a sudden.
You too should always bring harsh insults to the attention of the gamemasters using a harrasment petition. It is the only way to drive such immature people out of the game if they get petitioned multiple times.

Attitude and pirating is ok. But this crosses the line and should not be accepted. Show them that.
Immaturity will make me quit EVE alot faster than scammers and pirates if any of them get out of hand to be honest..

We have been lucky so far, we had serialsmackers around, and getting them muted in local very fast. For the moment we just have one regular smacker, but decided to keep him, as he is most likely to do more damage to his own corp reputation then to our morale in any way.

well lucky for you ccp ONLY responds to vulgarity so take it up with them man.
If they truelly aggrivated you then watchout for them individually and take them down. Set their standings at -10 and get your buddies to help you gank them.

You lot deserve it, you use stabs, you only fight when you out number or have bigger ships. E.g. a bc and a cruiser vs a raven a hac n a cruiser after we had an equal group of people to fight you earlier. You guys are pathetic and dont whine about other people when yourselvs are worse. You arent good pirates you just kill barges and attack people who are in cruisers with multipul bs, you guys show no skill in pvp and use WCS all the time. Case closed bye bye pwned.

You choose not to fight in belts without sentries at your aid. When we jump into your little 'camps' you choose to not fight then aswell. You prefer to warp at 100km and insta to safety, whilst typing 'Losers' in local. If I was in your position I would not complain about System-Lords not engaging. Ipaq, Carratkiller, good fight to you guys and nothing in this post is directed to you two.
