The recent update of the channel MOTD is not a policy change, scamming was not allowed in the recruitment channel before and it was stated in the previous MOTD. However, the channel was still being used to scam players, hence the update and clarification of the GÇÿno scammingGÇÖ policy.

For your convenience I have included a copy of the previous MOTD:

Other activities, such as non-recruitment discussion and scamming are not permitted in this channel. FTFY. When critiquing other people's language skills, it helps to have some of your own I'll agree with you that it is clearer if the compound term is written after the conjunction, and it could also have been clarified using an Oxford Comma, but your interpretation is only one of many.
