Edited by: Admiral Cabal on 14/04/2006 21:33:13 Hey all,
Myself and a friend are leaving EVE. He has escrowed all he owns to me so that I can pass it on to a lucky person for free.
I am looking for a newbie preferably, even better would be a starting corp. You will need Caldari skills to a high level to make use of this as the ships are not frigs lol. We also have a lot of mining equipment and ships so skills in that area would be good.
The items include a battle ship and battle cruisers so I am not just talking fittings!
Main items include:- (Note that all ships come with suitable fittings) - 1x Raven BS - 2x Ferox BC - 1x Procurer Mining Barge eith full set of T2 strips! - 2x Retriever Mining Barge - 1x Buzzard Cov Ops Frigate - 1x Iteron Mk5 expended to almost 20km3 - 2x Badger Mk2 - 1x BPC Megathron BS (1 run left) - 1x BPC Ferox (4 runs left)
In addition, we have hangers filled with fittings, lighter ships, BPCs, several premuim materials, etc.
This is not just some petty free ship offer as you may see, this is genuine! If you are a player with lots of money and ships please ignore this as I would rather players that are less well off have the goods. Give them the start we never had.
You cannot lose here. Genuine offers will be considdered. Transfer must complete by May 12th!
E-Mail Me At "[email protected]". Set "EVE Give-Away" as your subject. Please inclue your character name, how long you've been playing, your skill base with attention to mining and caldari ships and what you intend to do with the goods. Non-complied e-mails will be deleted.
Thank You

I can assure you it isn't. I have already had several entries and some promising candidates. People who can make best use of the entire lot but do not have too much to their name are the type of people I am looking for. I've had several month old n00bs apply and it is just simply too much. You need months of skills to properly use this give-away.
Keep applying!

I don't mean any offence but sending details about anything to some random email address so that I may win some ingame items is stretching it a little.
I would urge people considering taking part to do so via ingame evemail. This way there is no potential for exploiting and also no trouble when it comes to remembering who is who.
NOTE: This may be a perfectly valid give away, I'm just not willing to take the chance.
It's your turn to die. |

If you are not willing to take the chance, that's up to you. I'm giving everything away because to see it all just go into smoke is a waste. I've worked long and hard for these items. My Covetor is my most prized ship. She can earn millions an hour on her own but my friend and I just don't play any more hense giving it away.
Life is about knowing when to trust. Really, what is the risk to you? You think I'll come kill you? If I wanted people to kill there is no short supply where I am situated.
I know the e-mail looks dodgy, it's my own domain hense why I can have j lol.
The summary really is if you want to win then you have to risk entering lol. Also, the winning applicant is totally confidential to protect them against any actions others may wish to take in game as a result of them winning the prize.
All those who have recieved a reply informing them they were successfully entered into the draw may wish to know the chance of winning is now 1 in 7. I am also pleased to say the majority of successful applicants are small corps.
Good luck to you all,
Admiral Cabal

The reason I don't want this to happen is because you can then link character names to email addresses. I honestly don't see why you won't do this via ingame and regulated means. Your character is obviously still active and even though you sound honest enough, we have only your word for it.

maybe you should just give the stuff to eve-radio, they can make some nice competitions and some more players will have fun with it.

I kind of fail to see what he would gain; at most connected a few not-so-rich-or-important-chars to their emails. And then...?
And should someone be really worried about that possibility, it's rather fast to create account on some free email provider.

The reason I am not doing this in game mail is I have to log in to EVE every god damn time, and my Outlook is far more sophistocated in dealing with mass e-mails. When I need to reply either accepting or refusing, I just use a template which I cannot do in EVE. Simple matter is it would take 10 times as long and 100 times the effort. This is a simple goodwill gesture, not something I want to occupy my every minute of free time.
Only I can link the charater name and e-mail address, no-one else. The reason I require the char name is not to investigate you, so that I can escrow the goods if you win lol.
If you don't wanna trust me, it's up to you mate. I can assure you this is not crappy scam or hoax. It's all going to one of you. I have refused many people already. If I was only after e-mail addresses then surely I would accept everyone, just like any other scam?
I really can't be bothered to argue with you any more. If you wanna be paranoid, go ahead. 1 less person for the others to run against.
Admiral Cabal
Chances of winning now stand at: 1 in 10
