Praxelos	Posted - 2006.04.15 11:02:00 - [1] One day I was happily minig Kernite when suddenly a pair of mining barges warped in. Fine, healthly competition I thought. Wrong. The guys porceeded to strip the belt bare of everything save Veldspar. Ok, time to get nasty. Since they had no escort of any sort and both were in NPC corp I decided to try my luck, jumped into an indy, flew up to their can and emptied it into my cargohold. The barges launched drones, but my good old Bestower wasn't really bothered by their little stings. I warped out happily and cashed in the "liberated" goods. Then something struck me. The guys didn't smack me at all. I looked up their profiles. Both were created on same day, both were Minimatars and both were in same NPC corp - PTS. And the most curious things, their names were identical except for a different number at the end (eg John01 and John02). "Chinese farmers" I thought, and just for kicks, I wrote "Ni Hao !" in local. They answered :) I don't know Chinese, but my fiancee is on scholarship in China so I hooked her up on IM and asked her to run a small translation job for me. And so, I managed to strike a convo with a geniuine Chinese Farmer. Sadly he was smart enough to refuse talking via ingame chat and we had to use IM so no ingame proof sadly :( He said he was studying on university, and this is his job - he works for an isk-for-money enterprise. I told him that stripping belts bare is kinda rude towards other players, he responded that it's a program (bot) that does it for him. In turn, he asked me not to steal his ore, since that makes him earn less money. I told him that in fact if I could I would kill him (this thing happened in 0.5, nerf Concord plx). Since I had to go AFK I bid him farewell and hoped to meet him someday in lowsec =) So here it is, they are out there, and all your Kernite is belong to them. I know how big a problem Chinese Farmers are in MMORPGs, hopefully someday this can be dealt with.

However I see the problem solely with the fat, decadent westerners who pay money for stupid ingame currency to cheat and ownzor in the game. The Chinese are not to blame. Ever thought how poor the country is, considering that farming isk that will be sold to westerners actually pays as a decent job? Think about the differences in wealth from your country to where he is from. I would do it, you would do it. Do you think you would give a rat's arse that you're "destroying their game" if you're dirt poor and can earn decent money by making virtual currency for nerds with a profile neuroses and too much money?
Miss Overlord	Posted - 2006.04.15 11:18:00 - [7] They have evoled with the last few patches they use basic haulers or they just put the ore into the cargo hold on their mining barges and dont even droip cans anymore. The only way now is to scan em with passive targetter if they have local hulls fitted and u have quite a bit of ISK heres what u do Fit youre BS with as many plates as u can because it is a suicide run. Fit smartbombs as many as u can (these guys mine together close sometimes ) doesnt work on the mining apocs which are almost impossible to blow up and CCP petitioning just gets ignored anyway. Get youre insurance (use mission loot to) so 90m megathon - 30mil insurance payout around 90 so all u loose is 30m (hopefully the dropped local hull conversions or betas if they have them and some ice miner strips etc) will have at least 10-20m worth of loot a corp mate can pick up later(then u only losing 10m per pop) for the billionares who dont mind loosing this and helping keep the game less full of macroers its a good idea So yeah grab some NOS or two fit youre large smarties - plates as well get into the middile of the mining pack (jita good spot) and let rip hopefully take down up to 8 mining barges and haulers (had this once) u loose youre BS but make sure u have plates takes concord a hwile to take u anyway in which time u have just smashed and based a few bots and their barges inflicted more losses then u loose (barges are expenstive remember) and had some fun in the process Tho u do take a sec hit of -.5 so make sure u get some NPCing or missions in inbetween or not allow youre sec status to go below -4.9 otherwise u will have ot live in low sec. But it can be a fun thing to do. U get youre insurance etc. Alternative is organise a large group of destoryers or cruisers (kessies or moas etc thorax are also good) load up railgusn or missiles and everyone simply line up and fire away. Because CCP are totally useless in dealing with it or the income they get from the accounts is more important than high sec mining

Yes, I see, people from Quake, Unreal Tournament and Counterstrike have invaded EVE and need all these isk to grief and gank the original EVE players ... Spot on. As long as people spend RL money to buy isk and stuff this kind of macro exploiting will continue.
