Who is where and who are they? Iron,G,F-E,theFive, etc...
What are the new aliances taking the place of these and claiming the void left behind.

Funny enough i believe that those "filling the void" for F-E is an alliance called the Void...
Iron have gone to empire to rebuild with only 3 corps and begin a non-blob war vs whoever they want with the new NFC alliance claiming Dek.
G reformed as D2 with several other corps (mine included) joining (now not just a german only alliance).
The 5 has split with the old ATUK joining BoB, Black Reign i think joined LV and the rest forming E.R.A alliance that currently is attempting to take over Branch with several other new corps such as KIA, Mlm, and Hun

True, we're having a bit of a civil war atm, but we outlived almost all of our traditional enemies in the north.

Nah not really. But it brings up a good point.
Not long ago, everyone had everyone else naped. No real wars were occuring, and a pilot would have to go 57 jumps to find a fight. Eve politically was boring. Now its fun again.

You're still napped with the same people and shoot the same (maybe less) people.

What's actually happenning is that G/Iron and Fade/Deklein residents reformed, changed alliances'names, got much much bigger and now claim the -5- regions, possibly aiming to counter BoB 
After Atuk left -5-, BOS and Delta formed ERA and were joined by KIA, MLM and HUN from F-E and they are trying to keep Branch and V7-Mid. Also OSS came to their support joined by CHSN.
Kaos practicaly remained the same claiming rest of Tenal and being positive to ERA and OSS.
Some of the xF-E corps are forming VOID in F-E's place
Tribute, Venal and Branch are a mess tbh.
