Hi everyone, I am giving EVE another shot with a 2nd Trial account and have decided to try a new race, the Amarrs.
I decided to roll a Khanid since they seem to have stats more suited for a combat role (good perception/willpower and memory.) On my previous trial account I chose a (Caldari) Fighter class but this time around I opted for a Custom. I like having control over what my skills will be. But as we all know, control in the hands of a newbie tends to create poor results and that is exactly what happened .
I opted for Skills suited for combat and by the time the character was created I said to myself, "Wait a minute! You only started with Frigate L2, something isn't right!!"
These are the skills I started with;
Controlled Burst - 1 Gunnery - 2 S. Energy Turret - 2 Evasive Man. - 1 Navigation - 2 Warp Drive Op. - 1 Amarr Frigate - 2 (ARG) Spaceship Command - 1
and my stats are; Int - 6 Perc. - 12 Char - 5 Will - 10 Mem - 7
So obviously my question would be, how much did I screw this character up. If so, what would be the best way to Reroll?

I'll start with your attributes first.
Quote: and my stats are; Int - 6 Perc. - 12 Char - 5 Will - 10 Mem - 7
Take em and run with it if you're a combat character. With learning Skills this character has potential of being real mean. Say you trainned Learning and Advance Learning to 5 your specs would be the following before Implants are factored in.
Int - 16 Perc. - 22 Char - 15 Will - 20 Mem - 17
To me that's a very balanced character more or less as for the skills they're fine as they are because you'll have to buy and train those skills anyways in the future to better your gunnery skills. Your character is about right in the middle of the pack in terms of skill trainning. His strengths will still be in the trainning of Weaponry based skills but also he won't be slow as dirt when it comes to trainning other skills up.
Now get your skills up to level 3 and work on getting some money and pick up your basic learning skills and train them up to level 2 or 3 for starters (I'd recomend going level 5 on your Learning Skill and 2 or 3 for the rest but since you're on a trial account it may be best to go just 2 or 3) and see the difference.

If you want a combat character, you can start a Khanid with gunnery 5 and small energy turret 4. Just hover the mouse cursor over the different options and pick the ones that give you an extra level in gunnery and/or energy turret.

Because of the information you have provided I have decided to stay with what I've got and see where it takes me.

As Nazhuret said you should be thinking of starting with gunnery 5 and small energy lvl 4 as a Khanid since they give the most sp out of ANY starting char(~300k sp).
EDIT: Maybe i responded a lil late :D.
