Depends what level you're doing, but I feel for 3/4 the Domi is good for sheer flexibility, but is rather skill intensive if you wish to maximise drone use, and compensating for it's poor grid. Thron is good but again is rather skill intensive. Can't comment on HACs cos I cant use them although their resistances will make the very good for missions against relevant factions. Can't remember when I last used a normal cruiser/frig for missions...

ive started doing l4's in a domi and im doing really well so far although ive turned down some of the harder missions that are suposed to be lame for drone users because everything aggros when you launch them 
its not often i get a mission i need to turn down though and for the most part i dont even need to turn my armor reps on that much to keep up with the dmg im taking.
you will need pretty decent drone skills though.
im doing fine with advanced drone interfacing 4, heavy drones 2 , scout drones 4 ,combat drone 4 and gal bs lvl 3.
my drones can pretty much break the tank on any ship i have fought so far on there own. hardest bs ive had to kill thus far is only a 1mil raven though.
btw making around 10-14mil an hour +loot

Ishtar is very good if you have the isk/skills.

Thorax for level 1 to 3. For level 3 and 4, Dominix/Deimos will do fine if you have the right skills. You'll probably want to go for the Dominix, though.

I say a Domi is the best. Megathron takes very long time to train if you want to do lvl 4 in it without too much dying.

I use the Gallente Destroyer for lvl 1 and 2 missions. Having the skills to back up the ship are a necessity. Don't go in with minimum skills and expect to come out in the Dessi. For the more difficult lvl 2s I like the Celestis. I haven't started lvl 3s yet, but I'm building my skills for maximizing my Brutix.

Ishkur hands down. Flown mine through xxx missions now and
hardly any problems even with lvl4, except the lack of firepower
on a few occations.
Current Location: After chasing TomB for 2 years,
at the pub, getting a cold beer.
