Lets break this down.
2 days ago, I got on your teamspeak for an interview. I was connected to your teamspeak server for less than 8 minutes, and most of that time was taken up by the 4 of you being amazed that I am in fact not a German man, and one of you having to explain what Dreddit and TEST are to the other three. From this interview, you learned the following things about me: I am not German, I was in TEST for 3 months back in 2007, I live on the west coast of the US, and that I only have one character but I plan on buying a carrier pilot in the near future. Based on this conversation, the 4 of you decided that the application process would proceed.
Fast forward to today, when my application was rejected because you, based on a conversation that barely took place and what appears to be a perfunctory review of my API, decided that I wouldn't be a "good fit" for your corp. In fact, the reasons you gave were that I had once been a member of TEST and that I only had 1 toon to join your corp; both were things that you already knew from my interview and which were already stated to not be problems.
So what changed between the interview and today? Quite simply, you had access to my API. I have never scammed anyone, I have never ganked anyone, I have never griefed anyone, and have never sent anyone hatemail. My mining skills are nearly perfect, as are my refining, fleet boosting, and production skills. My killboard is embarrassingly bad, but since your corp has a rule forbidding PvP, my killboard is a non-issue.
Here I am, a miner with nearly perfect skills, active in the right timezones, wanting to make new friends and try new things in EVE. I have been good-natured and cooperative during this whole process, and haven't been rude or confrontational. Yet you claim I would not be a "good fit" in your corp. Something doesn't add up.
So what could you have seen in my API that would cause you to reject my application? Simply stated, my assets are limited. Except for my terribly fit mission Dominix, I have no assets that you could generously offer to transport to your home system of E0DR-G.
You can't claim I was rejected for my employment history or lack of moneymaking characters, because you stated during the interview that it wouldn't be a problem. You can't claim that I was rejected because of my personality (or lack thereof), because the interview was so brief and it was mostly you guys talking amongst yourselves. And except for my lack of assets, there is nothing in my API that you would reject me for.
So yes, I am calling this a recruitment scam. |
