Personally i find this patch to be the biggest pile of crap since release .
So much for the promises ...FALSE PROMISES .
No mobile refinery ,anchoring ,skills all promised faithfully by TomB and co in last dev chat Where are the new BPs .
As a paying customer i demand answers from you devs cos this is not good enough .
I`ll be back later to add more rants .

Were mobile refineries in Pann's info blurb? NO.
However, I don't like the new ship icon brackets at all. If it's not broken, don't fix it CCP.

oh, anyone else getting this message when trying to insure ships?

I wanted to insure a frigate to see if they changed the duration to 3 weeks ... got that message in a popup tho. |

I had that ever since the start on my first Imicus: I've never been able to insure it. It;s not been a problem with any other ship, so I've no idea what causes it. But you aren't alone.

No, this isn't the worst patch yet. But who cares when you recieve little or nothing and it is generally about the same as all the other major patches.
CCP promises = hot air to keep up expectations...nearly six months after its premature release and we still do not have the features promised and promoted for us to buy into it.

i been informed loads has been fixed hahahahah what a crock of s..t, baby roids, ctd , addy book, bookmarks all bulls..t none of these are fixed there is no bistot either.
The bps are in game BUT NOT on market they are to be released via ingame story line and events..... thinks back to miner 2`s .
well guess we wont see them then .
DEV`s a word to the wise stop promising stuff u cant or have no intention of implenting when u say u are .
As for events well i read on events forum nothing happening in events cos they are reorganising ...reorganising what.

open inbox, read a message from someone. right click on persons name, choose "delete" GG lock out. "something horrible happened and the connection was lost" requires restart.

Patch is a total screw up the bp's they claim to have put on the market ain't there and from the sound of it everything else they claim they did is a crock of %^&* way to go CCP crappiest patch I've ever seen in my life and I was a long time AO player, you make them look super smooth.

A little more than ****ed off about the new BPs being "distributed via events" etc (pls feel free to read as "we will give them to our choice of corps"). Also ****ed at the fact that the anchoring skill isn't on the market. I am incredibly happy that they didn't introduce mobile refineries, becuase in their currnt incarnation, they are total ****e.

Just posting to thank those who have made mention of their concerns. I've had some trouble since last patch and some weirdness last night so I was hoping (ironically) that this one would be an improvement.
I'm going to set 3 days skills to train on both my accounts and wait and see what you all post by then. If I can't play both accounts simultaneously anymore one will be cancelled, and I really don't know if I'd bother playing the other after that...
On the up side, I'm feeling less stupid about spending the money on BPCs of my 3 fav Heavy Drones :)

Terrible patch. Absolutely terrible.
'Fixed' things that weren't broken (brackets). Introduced tons of new bugs (just read this thread). Didn't fix the biggest game-wide bugs. The roid belts are STILL bugged?! Does CCP realize that the lack of bist is completely screwing the economy? And with the much-hyped mobile refineries failing to materialize, mining is once again screwed until next patch. Will we have to wait another few weeks before we can mine anything but veldspar and scordite?
And I like how they increased NPC damage, but made no mention of fixing the drop tables. So what this basically amounts to is a nerf. We have to work harder to get the same old loads of crap. How many medium shield boosters does one person actually need? Not to mention the fact that there's no mention of BB pirates either.
So let's see.. NPC hunting is harder, but still sucks. Mining is screwed. PvP has been reduced to camping jump-in points to lag people out. Why exactly am I playing this game again?

I have no idea mate, I have never felt compelled to post on these boards before but this monumental blunder of a patch has peeved me off so much that I have posted 3 times in short succesion.
CCP get a grip, get your patch notes right and inform your staff what they're talking about, then make sure they know what they're talking about, then block their forum acces cause what you told them has gone in one ear and out the other.

You dont seem to be able to drop things into a can that is in your cargo hold... now you have to kick the can out, drop the stuff into it and then scoop it up again..
Oh yeah and it doesn't ask for the password now either.
If the anchoring skill was out there then yeah it would be an ok decision... but it's not is it.
Another disasterous patch day.

I knew ppl would flame all the bad points and not give the good points a chance, but really... there aren't many good points.
Bugs i found in 5minutes:
- Online/Offline status still screwed
- New Inbox does not tell you who has sent you a new message unless you click on a person and then you can see which unread messages you have.. and then you have to do it again when you scroll down
- Game only seems to remember my chosen colour scheme and graphic settings. The main log on screen is still default colours and it always asks me if i'm sure i want to quit even when i've ticked the box not to every time!
- Asteroids/belts still bugged
- None of the new stuff on market can actually be purchased.
Bad Points:
- new sharpper icon graphics (slow and tacky looking)
- new inbox (the old one worked, don't fix what already works)
- no option to spin ship? stations even more boring now
- stupid graphical changes that look big and childlike (e.g character sheet, and weapon/ship info screens), before it was small, neat, and proffesional. Now it looks baby like (You now have 2,503,473 skill points! - lame...)
Good points:
- weapon nerfs
- stacking nerf
Hmmm... looks balanced? Idea CCP, change wot needs to be changed and leave wot works alone.
All this patch had to do was introduce a few new items/BPs and change a few numbers in the attributes of modules/items.
They better get some sort of sub-patch on soon or I think i'll be playing a lot less.

As I'm stuck at work I can't be there to share in all the fun but reading this post in particular just made my day. LOL, I can just feel the frustration oozing out.
I bought the Homeworld 2 game myself and am planning on breaking that in this week!

This patch is full of little annoyances.

Channel text is aligned differently to the avatar icons and make it slightly harder to read.
Corporation window will no longer resize horizintally.
Corporation window members list is no longer ABC even when you toggle the "Name" setting.
Selecting a system no longer gives you the number of jumps to the system next to thr "Route" tab.
Corporation members tags are still green but they're much less visible.
Channels seem more laggy then ever before.
Too many to mention really.

has had no real problems, ship became translucent for a minute, but thats all so far... Like alot of the new things, found new equipment and skills with ease that I was after. can't say I care for the EVE-mail change, but the corp wars list is a god send. Over all I like this patch personaly, though it sucks so many people having problems.

Really. This patch was really not necessary. I thought that CCP works FOR the players and NOT AGAINST them. But a new day brings a new lesson. So what now? Actually i think about to throw this really cool game away. I spent lots of time like many others to raise my account, to keep my corp running and much more. But now, i really don't like this game very much. Where are the working giant secure container? I don't find them. Really. I don't like to play it anymore. So take care buddies. Maybe i play some more in the next days. But actually i don't think so. Thank you CCP. Thanks for a new lesson in "Don't trust any Developers promises".
To CCP: You lost a fan and you lost my money. If you want it back, go to work and show me a WORKING patch and no crap like this.

I have not had a single problem with this patch so far - not one.
Someone was *****ing about the cpu nerf, but I actually have MORE cpu with the added base + photonic.
Finally a patch I am happy with. Now I can sit back and laugh for a change at all those *****ing.

ok one new thing in patch:
- when you start to warp and log off BEFORE you turn to warp, next time you log on, you will continue to warp. Nice huh? Not really!
- next time when you get stuck in the roid field (as I just did) you can't turn on mwd, cos that has been "fixed" in the previous patch.
you cant either log off and get unstuck by mwd, cos... well that has been taken care of as well.
Now, what wiseass (a-hole) have thought this one up? At least you could give us "cancel warp" button or something.

Bad:
- I can't look into other corp members hangars to locate stuff.
- Mining drones have to be commanded individually if you want them to return and orbit.
- The missing BPs and skills (but they will probably appear tomorrow)
Undecided:
- The new ship brackets (if they were bright green, like the old flash at the side, I would say I like it)
Good:
- Mining drone skill now gives the advertised bonus
A change that I heard of, but not announced is that a Co-Proc 1 gives more CPU than a Photonic now. |

Well, my only problems with this patch is that the portraits in the channels nicklists are bigger, that's not good at all. Now I can only see 3 nicks at the same time. I would like to get rid of them (the portraits), so it would bel ike IRC. Only nicks in the nicklist, nothing else.
And that it's laggy, but that's most likely something else.
It looks like a nice patch, too laggy to actually do something though.
I like most of the changes.
I can't see what you guys actually are whining about...

The first thing I did was go straight to my agent and do a mission. The first mission I did I got an implant as my reward, which got me pretty excited. Then when I info the implant it needs cybernetics skill to be used, which is nowhere to be found

I noticed a couple of wierd things in this wonderful new patch:
1. The local is buggy again. Sometimes i don't see myself in local and sometimes I see guys in space that's not in the local channel. This was a big problem a couple of patches ago but now it's back. Don't trust local...
2. The ships icons have changed. I flew by a guy in a Thorax but the icon was like the battleship icon (large square) same thing with an Ibis, the icon loocked like a cruiser...why did they change this?
3. The map is buggy. You can't see the numbers of stations/ships destroyed or anything. U still see the color code but if you are flying in 0.0 it's a big difference between 1 pilot in space and 4...

I've never really complained about a patch before, but...
Things I've noticed after 30 minutes of play:
- When repocessing items from a large list, it scrolls back to the top after each item (bloody annoying)
- Refeshing the content of my cargo hold caused it to go invisible (fixed with relog)
- None of the system statistic in map show numbers anymore (ie number of pilots in space)
- Hovering the curser over side bar no longer tells you what each icon is and wallet no longer shows whats in it
Pann told me that the pixel slider will be back in a mini patch, my text is fine but the window edges are ugly.
All in all very very poor. Oh and CCP when you release patch notes. Tell us about everything you'll save yoursleves a lot of trouble in the long run.

The problem with the CPU being NERFED is that I have to drop an expanded CC in order to put in a 3rd photonic, to run 5 miner II's for the mining I like to do. That is the ***** with me, that, and you have to take off your MWD, where as before, I could put 3 25%'s on and 2 CPU's, a MWD, 5 miner II's, and a couple other things in MED slots and be just fine. Why don't they justify the nerfs? I don't understand WHY they do that? Was I pulling to much ore? Were people putting to many things on their ships? WTF!?!?! I'll give it another month and see, if it doesn't get better I'm selling my sh1t and moving on to Planetside or something else like Homeworld 2. Idiots.

I heard a rumor that the patch version divided by 10,000 gives you the actual EVE version number. Latest patch = 1215 so we are playing Eve version 0.1215. We only have 8785 more patches to go until we get to play Eve 1.0.

Paste from closed thread:
Pressing escape, warping to a belt, warping to a different belt, docking, opening eve mail does one of the following:
- The node you were using went offline
- The transport has not yet been connected, or authentication was not successful.
- CTD
- Complete client crash
Kinda hard to go hunting some pirates or basically do anything, market crashes me too and I was soo happy that before patch I had not had a CTD since the DOS attacks fix or whatever they did to their server at that point.

Wonder when the penny will drop at CCP that we dont mind little and often (a damned sight easier to fix) than one uber patch that screws the engine up royally for a lot of peeps. Next year? Next century? Ever?

Patch sucks.
People complain.
CCP sents forum mod to own us.
Mod locks threads and gives warnings.
I got even one for trolling where I was using fiction.
Final effect will be happy hippo people who do not complain.
CCP is casting a Mob Mind Level 12 Shadowrun spell by the Level 8 Initiate Orestes right now.

Why the F@ck should I have to change ships because CCP makes a decision to NERF something? They changed things that weren't broken and broke things that were fixed!! Get your head out of your A$$!!! And as for the Miner 2's and the BS comment, I'll just leave that to the mathematicians in the game, cause you must be in one cheap A$$ BS!! Idiot.

this was a bad one. my prefs don't save. secure containers lost their passwords. the anchoring skill wasn't on the market and when a dev put some on there manually someone bought ALL of them and turned around and sold them for 500k. Constant CTDs.... I wouldn't mind a rollback if it meant my prefs would be fixed.

This is the absolute worst patch I have ever seen. It is a catastrophic piece of lamentable garbage. The golden rule in software is FIX ONE FAULT AT A TIME AND TEST TO SEE IF IT AFFECTS ANYTHING ELSE!!!! I work in IT and everyone knows that. But no CCP put out a patch with 200-300 changes in it and the game goes **** up....sheesh

I love this patch - you all just got pwnd!
And I was probably one of the ppl who *****ed about it the most before release.
Of coarse we have the usual patch bugs - but what else is new?
In a couple weeks everything will be back to business as usual (better most likely). And all those screaming I QUIT will still be here playing as usual.

forgot to add: I for one think this patch is THE ****, it really sucks. What's the purpose with it?

The only thing important is that training skill still work.
It could be fine to play during skilling...that's all.
My screen goes black after loading...that's all i see from the last patch upgrade

Mailbox is ridiculous. Just find a model that works (Outlook, Hotmail, anything) and make soemthing similar. Let the user sort messages by sender, and date, and that's about it. It's not that hard.

Amazing how people in this game fear change. Oh well, I for one like many of the changes. Keep up the good work CCP. Any of the minor bugs will get worked out eventually, none of them prevent me from playing the game.
