Since my character's name is a reference to an Arthurian knight, I decided to name my ships after horses:
Navitas: Palfrey Tristan: Palomino (with the BLACK HOLE reference, too) Iteron IV: Clydesdale Iteron II: The Grey Mule Vexor: Rocinante Catalyst: Appaloosa Shuttle: Epona Retriever: Quarterhorse
Sadly, everyone's got a ship named Shadowfax, but I'm saving "Bucephalus" for my future freighter, and "Lipizzaner" for the Dominix, once it's built.
I think once I go to Elite ships, I'll start introducing some other mythical steed names.

The first Valley Forge (CV-45) was an aircraft carrier commissioned in 1946, active in the Korean War, converted to an amphibious assault ship LPH-8, and serving in the Vietnam War until decommissioning in 1970. Prior to decommissioning, the carrier was used as a film set for a spaceship (also named Valley Forge) in the 1971 film Silent Running

The Roger Young was the second ship in the book. The Valley Forge was the first, as well as the one featured in the TV series. In the book it was destroyed during Operation Bug Hunt. ______________________________________________

I play a Space Wolves army in warhammer 40k so I have named most of my ships around Space Wolves fluff. I hope I don't infringe on any TM laws with this post...
Wolf: Daniel's last flight Cyclone: Axe of Morkai Rupture: Wolf Guard Scythe: Haegr's Hunger Stabber: Spear of Russ Rifter: Fangs of the Wolf/Wolf Scout Slasher: Frostblade Vigil: Gale of Fenris Thrasher: Hakon's Peace Hoarder: Maws of Morkai Mammoth: Iron Wolf
Obviously, my Wolf isn't named after some Games Workshop fluff but I have my reason's for giving it that name. Now, I must go think of the names I will give to my future battleship...
