Firstly, excuse the name, lol. Trial account and if I can fix these two issues than I will make a proper character.
I have a laptop which runs games fine. World of Warcraft and Lineage2 both run smooth as silk.
The laptop has a Xaber661~MX Vid Card at 64 megs. Widescreen monitor, 1200 * 800.
The game and sound runs perfectly except for two things. Space is white........... everything displays, ships, planets, stations, the sun. But space is white.....
Secondly, the text is toasted, it took me three hours to make the text clear enough to read. It still looks terrible, but I can read it.
I tried every resolution my card supports (about 35) and every res in the game. I tried changing the text option and the widescreen option. I've even tried to change the res in the .ini file (which made it clear enough to read).
If I can't find work arounds to these two issues I am obviously not going to subscribe. ;)
Thanks for any help or input!!!!
Sincerely, Algeroth Xantarius. (Roleplay name)

I am having the same font problem on my Aspire 3000 series laptop. I posted my own topic, located here, with an included screenshot.

The Xabre ( note spelling :) ) card is from the Sis chipset manufacturers. and as such isnt actualy supported by eve. However some posters have managed to get them working .
I would suggest you initially try to get the latest drivers for the card. and if that fails use one of the eve search programs for sis- as Im sure there is a link that leads to a usable driver.
Hope this helps.

If you search the knowledge base on Eve you will see that some card are not supported by game. Beside updating drivers, i would do search on the forum about the chipset brand.
On a side note, I have a Toshiba Satellite with a Radeon chipset from ATI and it work perfectly. _______________________ Recruting

I already tried the current drivers from the SiS website. I tried older drivers as well. Where can I find this "Eve search" that was mentioned?
