Hey all,
Been thinking about putting up my own pos for research and invention. I wanted to put this in high-sec, but I dont have the sec status to launch one personally. I am currently in a corp that has high enough sec status to launch a POS in high sec. I have 2 questions around this:
1) even though I dont have the standing personally, but my corp does, can i still setup a high-sec pos for myself and not for corp.
2) If i ever choose to leave the corp, will I still be able to run the POS even though I'm losing the sec status from the corp that allowed me to launch the POS in the first place?

POS Towers are Corporation assets. As such, only Corporation standings are considered for Hi-Sec anchoring. That's the good news.
The bad news is that, because POS Towers are Corporation assets, they will remain under ownership of the Corporation should you leave.
To answer the spirit of your question, though: standings requirements need only be met when anchoring the Control Tower itself. Afterwards, standings are not needed to online the Tower or to anchor/online additional structures. |

OK, thanks a lot for the answers. So basically I'll have to start my corp and then get the standings up in order to launch the POS.

Some people provide services to anchor towers for you.
They join, you leave, they anchor, you join, then they leave. 7 days between them joining and anchoring.
Check the sell order forum

If you only want Faction standings for POS purposes, consider checking the "Want to Sell" forum for POS anchoring services. You basically set up your Corporation, let someone with high Faction standings join for 7 days to get your Corporation's standings up, anchor the tower, then they leave. |

Thanks a lot for the information. Good to know those exist, but may try the legit route first and see how far away I am :) at least I know there is another out, if i need it.
