hello, I have come to think if a Thorax can kill rats in 0.0 (guristas)
A friend of mine is practically pwning the 0.0 rats in his Brutix <- High skills.
5x Ion Blaster II
1x 10mn AB II
1x x5 web
1x cap recharger II / Medium Cap Battery II
1x Medium armor repair II
2x Magnetic field stablizer II/ more hards /cap relays (with cap relays I can fit a medium cap battery II.
2x Kinetic hardeners
5x Hammerhead II
81% kinetic resistance
My plan is to get in close orbit and then tank the missiles they will hit me with, they wont be able to hit me with their guns due to my high transversal, right?
Btw, I got +10 mil SP, and I'm not a noob. but is it possible? or will the tank not cut it?

your setup looks solid
but stoopid gurists likes to fight at range
so when u wil web 1 bs other will get range and start shooting at u so this may be problem
i found that guristas rats are hard to kill in small ships

Is the high skillpoints a requirement for ratting in 0.0 with a thorax you think? I can already rat in 0.4 and most spawns in 0.3 in my tristan and good use of bookmarks and was thinking of upgrading to a thorax and seeing how low I could get with that. The setup I have planned when my training is complete is very similar but not as good since I'm still only around 1 mil SP (and those aren't combat centric either  ):
4x Electron Blasters
1x Med Nos
1x 10MN Afterburner
1x Statis Web
1x Cap Recharger
1x Med Armor Rep *
2x Hardners
1x 800mm Plate **
1x PDU
* might swap this for a small tech II repper which I could run on constant where as the medium repper would have to be used in short bursts
** Not sure how usefull this is for NPC'ing. Could swap it for another PDU and upgrade 2 blasters to Ion blasters?
Think this could work or would it just be suicide?

1 wtb rax with 6 hight slots
2 if your skills are low better dont try rat in 0.0 with rax

Drones kill frigs before you get in range, and orbiting a BS at 500m will make it miss all shots. Cant remember how good it fared against 2 BS tho...
