The price of this seems to have gone up a lot in the past 2 weeks.
Any fully fledged empirical economic observations or long convoluted theories as to why this has happened? Or are you all still researching?

There was a big buyer who kept the megacyte market completely dry for a few weeks in all regions. He bought up all available orders and replaced them with prices above 5k Isk.
Whoever it was, he succeeded in getting the average megacyte price up from 4.2k to 4.9k in most regions.
He stopped doing this early this week and as a result theres enough supply again and the price is in a free fall. Currently it dropped from 4.9k to about 4.7k Isk.
I'm very curious to see how far it will drop.

hmm intresting way to make lots of isk if you are rich already, just corner the market and set your own price for sale..
