Hi
When comparing Multi II and Hypnos it seem to me that the Hypnos is actually the better one
After what I can see they both have the same falloff, optimal range and jammerstrenght but the Hypnos cost less to use and less to fit
I must be blind or miss something here. If someone see what I don't, please let me now.

Bare in mind that the Hypnos tends to cost half a mill isk more then its T2 varient also.

Thats basically the theory behind named items.
The best named will normally equal t2 performance on better fitting. The reason that t2 is pretty much the standard is becuase its a shed load more available, since you can build it.

However, with the introduction of T2 ammunition, T2 guns really have become the overall better alternative for specialised setups. (IE long range)

Don't forget when comparing t2 guns and best named, the specialisation bonus applies only to the t2 guns, making them the better in every case (excluding faction). With ECM, there is no such specific bonus to the t2 varient, making the hypnos the better option if you can afford it.

It is easier to buy stacks of tech 2 ones for outfitting fleets than try to chase down stacks of named ones.
But if you buy for yourself or frig/cruiser class ships it is much better to go shopping for hypnos.
