This has likely been said before, and if recently, I do apologize.
I am BEGGING you CCP, PLEASE give us a toggle option box that displays a warning before you warp off and abandon your drones in space. This is a very minor quality of life improvement that I (and I believe many others) feel would make a significant difference. Nuff said, thank you! Ahh, Jita... - http://i.imgur.com/UHGT4xc.jpg |

I two suffer from moments of idiocy, it's not that big of a deal. Just move the drone window to a more prominent position on the screen and you should remember in future. If in doubt...do...excessively. |

Ugh, this again? How badly do you need your hand held? Maybe you'd like the game to just automatically recall the drones for you instead.
Put the drone window somewhere more visible, or just learn to stop forgetting about your drones like everyone else.

Someday CCP will change it, i promise.
Why? Because we got Salvage Drones and MTU, next step would be Looting drones and auto docking drones. |

You get meaningless feedback like "Warp Drive Active - Aura" instead.

We are flying space ships, that for some reason are as dumb as a horse cart. Apparently it's for gameplay, but its nothing but tedious clicking that keeps us from doing more creative things ingame. ~ Professional Forum Alt -á~ |

I have my recall drones button bound to mouse button 5. I don't know if that really helps but I've never had a problem with leaving drones behind so it might work for you. Oh god. |

Actually, this is a very helpful tip, thank you! :D

Did you even read the OP? I mentioned it being a toggleable warning, not something forced on you.
I find it sad that quality of life improvements have really helped the EVE community out a lot over the years, but one guy (me) comes along and recommends something so minor and get's some of the unenlightened responses above. Nice idea for PVE, but horrible for PVP where you constantly leave drones behind. Such a message would be triggered once and then ticked to never appear again for most people, which means it's useless in the end and wasted Dev resources.

Stop dumbing down EvE! Auto recall should never happen to EvE and I'll tell you why:
You leave your drones, your ISK\Hour is reduced...good. You'll learn to not leave your drones. You now have a need to purchase more drones. A manufacturer has some on the market > he makes some ISK The BPO he bought to make the drones enables the BPO seller to invest in more BPOs. A miner that mined the minerals makes money as he can shift some minerals to the manufacturer. You buy your drones and carry on but have learned a valuable lesson...recall your drones, scan them down or HTFU and write them off.
Simply a case of the circle of life in New Eden...

I'm sorry you feel that way but if you'd searched you'd have saved yourself the flames but I think mine was far from a flaming or trolling comment. It was backed with a reasonable argument of why it shouldn't happen.
If you can't handle the criticism in a discussion thread then perhaps you shouldn't post. However, I've seen many ideas flamed and they've evolved into something quite remarkable. It's not what people say but how you take it and apply it.
I honestly do hope you post ideas up if you have them but please use search to see if it's been suggested. A lot of things have and have pages of feedback that you could learn something from or develop your idea based on it. Link the old thread if it's a source that you are developing your idea on and present it to the community.
Above all else, keep coming back, we do value all ideas. Fast Character Switching "XP Stylee" Undocking - More Routes Out of Station Here's my tear jar > |_| < Fill 'er up! |

Alright. The only thing that really bothers me about this is that 1) you failed to link to said post and 2) I don't recall anyone ever stating or it being in the forum rules that just because a post is closed due to inactivity (albeit intentionally closed is different) that said discussion and/or ideas should never be discussed again.
That being said, having joined internet society back in the 90s where I remember people and their mannerisms quite differently online than today's 'standard', I'm simply disgusted by the overall feeling I get from responses when posting (and I've done my share of it) in the EVE Online forums. Quite shameful really.
Now, I have to remind myself YET AGAIN that many (but certainly not all) posters in the forums do not in fact represent the EVE Community as a whole, lest I walk away from a game I've come to love as my brother who also played has done for the aforementioned reasons. Thank you to the above posters who actually offered constructive criticism and insight. I think I've had my fill here, and do not feel inclined to post again. Nuff said.
(Please LOCK this thread. Seems it was a mistake in the first place.) Ahh, Jita... - http://i.imgur.com/UHGT4xc.jpg |

On the other hand, you didn't "share an idea". You, I quote, "BEGGED CCP" for a feature without giving any good reason for it to be implemented or think about the impact it could have on the gameplay. That kind of post doesn't call for nice answers and long justifications, but for "lolno" and "stopcrying" type of answers tbh.
Don't take it wrong, but your formulation wasn't the best ever if you wanted to start a serious discussion about this feature.

1) Search for yourself.
2) 16. Redundant and re-posted threads will be locked.
As a courtesy to other forum users, please search to see if there is a thread already open on the topic you wish to discuss. If so, please place your comments there instead. Multiple threads on the same subject clutter up the forums needlessly, causing good feedback and ideas to be lost. Please keep discussions regarding a topic to a single thread.

It already recalls probes for you if you leave them in system or leave them out for too long. And this would deprive scanning alts of the income from probing down someone's abandoned drones. Free Ripley Weaver! |
