Fluffy rabbit killer's inc has declared war ...
Any idea who these guys are ?
This is the first I've every heard of them and they have just Wardec'd us. Looks to me like a 'Lets Gank Newbis' Corp, we are very small and in Empire space so no threat to anyone.

Well I've found some info :
Looks like the guy that has done the wardec is Commander Thrawn, and he knows he's wardec'd a bunch of noobs.
So it looks like they are a bunch of gankers.

Mercenary corps are often the best solution if you cannot defend yourself effectively. Look around, there are some very affordable ones.

The info I have found from his bio, he started the game in August 2005, and has only just joined the corp from 3240 inc. Fluffy currently lists as having only 2 members but I expect all his mates will join up within the next 24hrs so they can get a bunch of kills.
I think he wants us to pay him money, but he didn't exactly say so.
We also got a mail just before the wardec saying that someone had been killed and something happened during the clone process and it failed. Does that mean the character has been deleted ?
I thought the rules on wardec'ing were that you had to have a reason for doing it otherwise it is considered griefing. Is this correct ?

Also, is there any way to tell what system someone is in ?
Or is it just luck of the draw trying to run into them ?

That is the plan, but I expect the corp to get bigger by tomorrow. Judging by his war record he has fought 4 times and died on all of them.

You can't petition against someone war-deccing you surely...
It's just part of the game - lots of ways young corps in the past have dealt with it. Think Eve Uni's prob one of the more recent high-profile ones.

Best off just gathering your corp mates, all in tech 1 frigs and cruisers and go hunting ;)
Your first war in eve is always a huge test for the corp.. especially when that imicus or thorax or what ever.. is your life and soul ;)
Believe me.. go get killed lots.. and in a few months if your still in the game you'll thank them for giving you the wake up call so early in the game.

TBH i hate this petition this, petition that madness. reminds me of the people who sue McDonalds cos the coffee is hot. I hate them and i want them to die. I would like to war dec YOU and make you die. However, i'm a carebear, so i cant. ah well.

Some people do take things very seriously don't they.
I don't plan to petition the name, there's no point, the tag implies that I'm probably going to be fighting 12-16 year olds.
I'm not to worried about the wardec, he is just after an easy target and to extort money I think. He isn't going to get either !

thrawn just likes to pop people, just having a laugh i think. he popped me up in Olfeim couple nights back when i was well into armor finishing up some NPC's. very opportunistic.
if you find out where he is, evemail me if you don't mind, i owe him a visit (kill rights ftw)

Well hello to the real Fluffy Rabbit.
The war started and he decided to hide. It turns out he decided to wardec two different corps, but didn't expect us all to come after him. Both corps he threatened are mining non-threatening types, he is now hiding in a station in Dammalin with 10 ships sitting outside waiting for him to have the bottle to come out.

Yesterday he decided to declare war on my corp. as well, and our security division is looking forward to the fun without messing up thier security ratings. but at the same time they aren't too pleased about having to come back from low-sec to deal with it. oh well, will be interesting
